Ok I know as a Braves fan I am considered spoiled and I was very disappointed when the Braves lost to the Cards and were out of post season this year but I would like to say:

CONGRATULATIONS to the New York fans!

If the Braves could not be in it then I am glad that y'all got your subway series! Should be fun to watch!

julie, thank you for your best wishes. the braves have a good team and are always contenders.
i'll be going down to new york for at least one of the games. i was at shea stadium when the mets put away the orioles in '69, and i'd love to be there when they are not only champions of the world, but the heros of new york.
the yankees have a good team, but i've always been a mets fan.
LETS GO METS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"put me in coach, i'm ready to play today. put me in coach,i'm ready to play, look at me, i can be, center field!"

Hope you have a great time! and I won't even mention that while you were in Shea in 69' I was still 5 weeks away from being born.

i was only nine at the time, so this is my first ever subway series.
i'll try to get you a tee shirt when i'm at the game!

As a Met fan, I would like to thank you for your kind and gracious words. The Braves are a first class organization, and it's all going to start again in April. It should be a blast. I look forward to it.

However, in reading The Newark (NJ) Star Ledger this morning, I came across this quote from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
"A second-rate offensive club with no speed and even less public approval, the New York Mets merely won the National League Monday night, completing a three week transformation that took them from the Braves divisional runners-up to, dare it be said, World Series favorites."

While there are many wonderful intelligent Braves supporters, for others it appears the grapes taste quite sour.
