Pardon, elfin_odalisque, but I don't enter the contests to win. I enter to participate and to have fun. I enter the contest to write. By my 45 stories in the last three contests alone, contest inspire me.

Besides, whatever I win, I give away to the shelter.

#1: I wasn't paying attention.
#2: I don't know any of those people. Congratulations are something I don't normally give to people unless I have at least been introduced.

And let me express my congrats to all of the contributors to the contest (I read many a good story the last few weeks), and to those who read and comment on the stories. Like most, I really appreciate the kind words and feedback, and knowledge that some people out there are finding some enjoyment from my occasional hobby.

Sorry, I don't knuckle under to Internet "guilting." There's a thread. You started it.

The "contests" here at Lit. are pretty similar to a sieve with big holes, so they don't really catch my attention anymore.

Well, that seems rude.

It's a busy time for many, people are out of town, they weren't in this contest, they didn't read the stores in this contest, they didn't know the winners, etc. Pick a reason.

I doubt the AH as a group is refusing to start a congratulatory thread for any vindictive sort of reason.
