Just got back from attending the Eppies, EPIC's version of the Oscars. For those who don't know, EPIC is an electronic publishing industry group, one of the first. The Eppies are one of, if not the, most sought-after awards in the industry. They are judged and not voted on in an open forum. This is an award from your peers, as only electronically published authors, cover artists or publishers can join EPIC.

I am proud to be able to report that our dear friend Dr. Mabeuse, writing for eXessica as Eliot Mabeuse, won the Erotica category for A Good Student. Imp accepted the award for him and since three of the people seated at our table were AH veterans and others just aware that we were rooting for him, the shout for him from our section was joyous and loud.

Congratulations, Zoot! From myself, James Buchanan and Imp. We were all so pleased to hear your name announced!

A bit later, they named the winner of the extremely prestigious Friend of E-Publishing Award. I am humbled, proud and thrilled to let you know that Alessia Brio, my dear partner, won it for the work that has been done for so many charities under the Coming Together banner.

Coming Together started right here in the AH and went on to achieve national recognition and become a foundation of erotic altruism. Alessia has been the driving force behind that. It is near and dear to her and I see how much time and effort she devotes to it.

I am thrilled that she was recognized for all her hard work and delighted I was there to share the moment.

I love you, baby. I know you don't seek this kind of glory, but you earned it.

Yes!!

Bring out the champagne, the coke, and the scantily clad women! :D

Celebrate your brains out, Doc. You've so deserved it.

 Well I'll be damned! This is kind of hard to believe. It's especially gratifying because my book was up against an entry published by an outfit that turned down A Good Student as totally unsuitable.

I hope Imp gave a hell of an acceptance speech on my behalf! I owe an awful lot to Selena, who did the editing and who encouraged me to submit the book to the judging in the first place. And to Literotica, which gave me a place to learn to write and develop the story.

Thanks to all.

Well that's just awesome! Congrats to all on the recognition of their hard work. :rose::)

Congrats to both. Dr. M's book is, of course, an eXcessica release.

Both Elliot and Alessia have exceptional talent, and I find it encouraging that they get recognized on such a scale. A warm congratulations to you both.

Many well-deserved congratulations!!

I just told my writing group the other day about all three of you and how wonderful you are. You've proven me right!

Doc, the most impressive thing was the shout that went up when they read your name. Vampy, Imp and I all three spontaneously shouted and we had our whole table of subversives, which also included lumanaries such as Robyn Carr (currently at #8 on the NYT Romance list), Rick R. Reed(who also won an Eppie last night, Jolie du Pre and Zoe Nichols, clapping and hooting. It was wonderful to be able to celebrate for you and I imagine that somewhere in the room was someone going "Damn! He's THAT popular and I don't know him? I need to read that."

Yes, my highlight was Imp's win, of course. But I was fucking thrilled to hear your name announced man. You so deserve it.

EEEEE!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I just got the news. My bananas are going crazy.

:nana: :nana: :nana: :nana:

Congratulations to all of you, and a little something extra for Dr. M.

I tweeted the news while Imp was walking up to accept, but some of y'all just are behind the curve and aren't following my important self, I guess.

Its okay. There is still hope for you. ;)
