Great article, Ed; thanks for posting it! Baber did a nice job writing that, and of course she's absolutely stunning, even though she's a bit thin for my personal tastes. I'm curious about what her degrees are in. And I have to wonder what she was referring to about her childhood not being very nice.
For some strange reason, the thing that really stuck out for me is that for as much money as she had made over the course of her career, the $25k for her lawyer used up her education fund. It seems like that's a trap that a lot of sex workers fall into: they get into the business to finance a dream like college or a comfortable lifestyle, but once they see all of that extra cash coming in, they find it a lot tougher to save for that dream and future.
Are you a fan of Vocative in general? I just scanned some headlines quickly, but a lot of articles caught my eye, and I'd love to go back and read them when I have a chance. Plus, I the 'Underworld' category; I guess I enjoy learning about the polar opposite of my life in safe ways.
i was struck by how much went to her legal fees as well!
i wasn't familiar with vocativ until seeing this story, which i found courtesy of a friend at another online haunt. it looks like there are a lot of videos, which honestly i don't dig on: too time consuming.
