Hey, has anyone used one of these: Conair Hair Removal System

My wife wants an electric shaver for her legs, but I saw this with the exfoliation as well and thoguht this might be a good alternative. Anyone have any thoughts?

I got that for Christmas last year. It's okay, I guess. Ya gotta be careful using it around knees and ankles because the discs can scrape/burn your skin. The package says you can go up to two weeks between uses, but that wasn't my experience.

The discs don't last very long, though they're around $7, which is roughly the cost of some razor blades. Immediately after Christmas last year, however, our Wal-Mart quit selling the damn things (hair removal system AND replacement discs). Yeah, I could have ordered them online, but I didn't because I was pissed.

I haven't used mine since January, but I was thinking about stocking up on replacement discs now that they're available again.

I dont have any experience with this particular device. However I did try the pads a few years ago. Same concept only just pads instead of being on a 'thingy' Now Im not sure if perhaps I went a little overboard with it or what but I burned the hell outta my legs with it, a red rash all over. Essentiallly its just fine grit sandpaper and your rubbing off the hair and some skin with it lol. And if your not careful you go a little too deep. I like the idea of it, but it just didnt work for me. Oh and it only worked on my legs, didnt do a thing for my nether regions

I tried using one of those razors (I forget the name) that has it's own lubrication bar built into the razor head. It sounded like a good idea on paper, but I have a damn hard time with it around my knees. So now I'm back to the trusty old plain disposable razor. I think a lot of these things are like pet rocks and rubiks cubes...fads for a while and then they go away and (hopefully) never return.

I don't know if that's entirely possible...there's a guy at the office who comes in once in a while wearing a Nehru jacket...god knows how far back that thing went! :D

I agree with Eilan, it can cut you up around the ankles and knees. I didn't really have a lot of luck with these. I found myself always getting cut up, not exactly the sexiest look.
