It's the story heard over and over. "Hillary was evil. I voted for Trump." "The con artist knows how to make money so I voted for him." "I wanted someone who will cut government and stop people from leeching off the taxpayers."

And so on. Trump voters across the country provide illumination on why they voted for him. Now, many of those same voters want their just desserts. They want the con artist to raise the federal minimum wage because they're incapable of surviving on their on wits.

52-year old grandmother working at a gas station in America's poorest white town wants the minimum wage raised because trying to live on $7.25 an hour is horrible.

34-year old mother of a 5-year old says she's lived in poverty all her life and wants the minimum wage raised. No comment from the father of her child.

Both live in Kentucky, a state which has staunchly refused to raise the minimum wage for its workers but now wants the federal government to do what they won't.

A 62-year old woman with medical issues had this to say about cutting the size of government and killing off socialism: "Mr. Trump, please take care of us. We're looking to you."

I read some of the words this time. Change Trump to Obama and you have SSDD.

I think Trump is the one who is a con artist. Minimum wage has been held down because of this SOB and nobody who is trying to support themselves (let alone a family) can survive on it. But people are naïve to look to him for help - he's not going to do a damn thing to help anybody but himself; he has his money and that's really all that matters to him.
