Director of National Intelligence, Dan Coats, is expected to step down any day now. This comes after he publicly contradicted the con artist's lies about North Korea giving up its nuclear weapons in testimony to Congress. In addition, Coats has repeatedly spoken the intelligence community's unvarnished truth about global terrorism, Iran, Russia, the status of ISIS, and climate change, all of which is the complete opposite of what the con artist says.
Coats, a Republican from Indiana, was formally backed by Mike Pence for the position though the con artist and Coats never got along due to Coats' insistence on telling the truth and the con artist's endemic lies.
Senator Angus King, Independent from Maine, stated the following during an interview on Sunday:
It now appears that warning has come to fruition. Telling the truth to the con artist will get you fired. It's almost as if the con artist is taking cues from a well known liar in another country who helped get the con artist elected.

King told Berman that he believes Coats is an "honest, upright, thoughtful guy."
"And he enunciated his obligation very clearly in that hearing. He said my job -- the job of the intelligence community -- is to seek the truth and speak the truth," he said, adding should Coats be fired, it will send a bad message to the intelligence community.
"The message to the intelligence community is shade the data, cook it, slant it, don't tell the man what he doesn't want to hear. That's disastrous for the country," King said.
