I'm working with speech, Apple's 'Read Back To Me' (part of their Software Developers Kit) it has the most wonderful English pronunciation of sex words

Unfortunately, I cannot save them in a form that allows them to be reproduced here, they get attached to 'objects' under OSX, but I'm having wonderful images of 'You've pressed the wrong button, cunt' playing to an iPhone user

When I was still actively programing computers, I developed a multi-tasked application with an idle task. I then inserted a call to a speech program in the idle task and the computer would then say 'Working!" in the same type of voice used by the original Star Trek computer. The programmers thought it was clever, the managers not so much.

I use 'Hal' in one of my stories, you can almost hears the voice if you get the syntax right. 'I'm sorry, RR. I can't do that.'
