Tech Support: "Customer Support, this is David, may I help you?"

Tech Support: "No space between 'inter' and 'net'. It's spelled normally."
Customer: "Ok. A-M-E-R-I-C-K?"
Tech Support: "That's A-M-E-R-I-C-A."
Customer: "I-C-K???"
Tech Support: "'A' as in apple"
Customer: "There's no 'K' in apple!"

Customer: "No, I'm alone right now."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tech Support: "Are you reading an error message to me?"
Customer: "No, I'm reading an error message to you."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tech Support: "Do you have 3 1/2 inch diskettes?"
Customer: "No, I only have 3 of them."

Tech Support: "Are you reading an error message to me?"
Customer: "No, I'm reading an error message to you."

Oh, I've had that guy!! lol

The one I've probably bitched about before on here is this guy who calls in cuz Acrobat Reader isn't working properly for him. I went through the settings, everything looked fine. He told me he dl'd Acrobat Reader from his network. I thought maybe there was something wrong with the copy they have, and suggested he uninstall and install from Adobe's site. He says he'll try it and call me back.

He's called back FIVE FUCKING TIMES with the same problem. Each time I've asked, "Have you reinstalled Acrobat Reader?"

No.

Grrrrrr.

HeavyStick, when I told him about this, suggested I just tell the guy his trouble is that he needs a new mouse pad. Every time he calls I think about that and start giggling maniacally.

Although the suckiest part is that I researched the problem for someone else and found out it actually is a setting...shit. Guess I need to call him on Monday. *sigh*

So if my mother board crashes - can I still save what is on the hard drive? Can I use the DVD player from my old PC on my new machine?

I may have more questions as answers arrive! :rose:

I'd say you definately need a new "hard" drive.

this one has to be my favorite hehe

Customer: "How much do Windows cost?"
Tech Support: "Windows costs about $100."
Customer: "Oh, that's kind of expensive. Can I buy just one window?"

Good support stories Zmey. I don't have any as good as that, but I did have one doctor I was helping get through the install process:

Me: "Now type in A colon install"
Him: "How do I type in a colon?"
Me: "Hold down the shift key, and there should be a key just to the right of the 'L' key with a colon and semi-colon on it. Press that key once."

Sometimes I wonder if he was thinking of 'colon' as in the bodily organ.
