Okay I am not to friendly with computers.
So I know this might be very easy for some of you people... but for some reason this zip drive crap is pissing me off !

I have a zip drive and its full... All I want to do is delete the files so I can store some new files.

Every single time I try to delete a file this crap comes on the screen :

Access is denied.
Make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that the file is not currently in use.

Can any one give me a clue *sigh* :(

Make sure you don't have any of the files from the zip disk open.

Also, make sure the disk doesn't have a tab on it that makes it read-only. I'm not sure zip disks have that, like floppies do.

Well I have none of the files open , all I do is open the disk and click on the file I want to delete and it will not let me.

I already checked for a " tab" and there is none...

Its just frustrating me!

But thank you for the advice. :)

If you want to wipe the whole disk clean, try formatting it:
Right click on the drive in explorer and choose Format...

Thank you Zamdrist

I formatted the disk and all the files deleted that is what I so wanted !

But of course some how the zip got stuck in the drive and then I had to use scissors to pop it back out.

But all is well again ... once again thank you for the help. :)

For the record, I never said stick your scissors in your computer, I would never recommend that! ;)

Not a problem...anytime, really. I spend most of my days at work and home in front of a computer.

Yeah , the whole scissor thing was my idea ... I tend to think scissors will get me out of any jam .. it was the scissors or the screwdriver... scissors won. :)
