Hi,

I recently was browsing the web and closed the open window because I was finished. When I remembered that I needed to check my e-mail, I opened up the internet again and realized that the bar where I type in the web address was gone. I need to know how to get it back because I can't search the internet as easily as I once could. Please tell me how to get it back!

Hi. Can you tell me what browser are you using?
In Internet Explorer 5, in the third menu (I don't know if it is written as View, See, or something like that in English), Submenu Toolbar you can select the web adress bar.

I am using internet explorer 5. I tried to do what you said but it is still not showing up. Do you think that I should call tech support?

click the view drop down menu

click the toolbars item

click (to put in a check mark) the "address bar" option

What EJfan said is the same I told you.
But the adress bar is all that is missing? everything else is in its place?

Probably just moved....

Look over at the right hand side, and see if something like "Address >>" shows up there.

You could have just moved it to the right of the button toolbar, and you can't see it anymore.
Make sure View->Lock the Toolbars is not checked, and uncheck every toolbar except the Address one. If you still can't see it, your Internet Explorer setup is borked. If it shows up, enable to other toolbars again, and as long as the Lock Toolbars is not checked, you can drag them around to where you want them. At the left end of each toolbar is something that looks like of like a vertical ridge. Put your mouse over it, and your pointer changes to a left-right arrow. Click and drag this and you can move them up, down, combine them into a single row, etc.
I think this is what happened....you combined the Address toolbar with the Button toolbar, and you don't have enough screen width to see them both.
