I am a newbie here on the Lit boards and I have been looking around at some of the posts here on the Amateur Pic Feedback board and I am so impressed! Everyone is so encouraging, supportive and complimentary of everyone's pictures. Since all bodies are not created equal (not all perfect Barbie bods), it's so encouraging to know that all body types are treated as beautiful. For somebody who is way to shy to think about posting pics, I might even consider it with the way everyone responds here on this board. Looking and reading the posts are actually making me feel a bit more confident and comfortable with my own God given bod! Thank you so much for making this such an inviting and comfortable atmosphere for all that choose to take part.

Acceptance

Dear Curious,

You're right about the positive encouragement that members give to posters willing to experiment with exposing themselves on a thread.

I just thought I'd share a fact that I learned many years ago when I was researching a topic for a Master's thesis.

Most women don't have positive body images. The first step to changing that self-image is acceptance. The next step is to try to improve that image by focuaing on the aspects of yopur body that you feel most positive about.

There can be major benefits to going through this process. To the degree that a person can POSITIVELY change their own image of their body, they change their entire self-image to the SAME degree.

Therefore, when you reach a plateau in accepting your body as it is, I would suggest that you consider posting to get that positive feedback to help take you to the next level.

Good luck in whatever you choose to do!

I think one of the best things about Lit is that it proves out the point that not everyone is into the myth of the 'perfect body'. Here there are a wide variety of people with a very mixed batch of sizes, shapes, colors, and fetishes. There is something for everyone.

I've only seen a few nasty comments, and they have been posted by small minded individuals that cannot see past the end of their noses. The majority of people here are accepting and complimenting of anyone willing to share parts of themselves usually reserved for "that special someone".
