Complaints about stories being pending for ages

I have always gotten a prompt response when I've PMed Laurel. I did so on Thursday, but have not heard back.

I've gone ahead and resubmitted my story.

Since the main site was down earlier in the week perhaps that's why there's a glitch now

I choose to imagine that the glitch was a side effect of behind-the-scenes efforts to resolve the glitch, since the glitch has been happening for much longer than this week.

There were a flurry of Dark Fairy Tales stories getting published at the last minute, and the anthology was assembled for 30 September. Certainly any extraneous distractions will fall away during the Halloween contest.

Yes. Many stories are getting posted as per normal. Let’s make up a figure and say 1% aren’t. The issue is that if you get stuck in that 1% you never seem to get out of it. And being in that 1% is essentially random and nothing to do with story content or authorial reputation. This is something new as lengthy delays used to mostly relate to issues with the story.

Very established authors like @silkstockingslover @ChloeTzang and @MelissaBaby have been impacted, and they all know how to get stuff published here.

In germany no new stories have been posted since the 25th stil. I would argue that's far more than 1%. Then again, maybe they're dropping non-english sections entirely?

I work with a lot of Germans - panic is not a word I’d normally associate with them

Makes sense. I waited 12 days. Then I resubmitted. Now on day 3. If I get to day 4, I’ll delete the whole thing and resubmit, maybe with a tweak to the title, so it doesn’t get associated with the ‘bad’ records.

It’s kinda stressful.

As an FYI, I posted my part 3 (after part 2 got stuck in limbo for close to a month) and it got published in less than 36 hours.

Since 9/17 I've had three stories pending, two are story edits, so they'll probably never see the light of day, the third is Part 3 of that series. Every day I go into the dank, clammy dungeon of my works Pending Section and brush the dust from the stories that I slaved over, but Literotica High Command isn't interested. Yesterday I posted my Halloween story, a cheesy little 1-day effort and sometime during the night, the High and Holy Powers smiled upon that single effort bound for the wastes of LW and granted it access to the promised land of stories deemed worthy to be displayed to the reading public. But the other three stories were again ignored by those that pick and choose what is deemed desirable and commendable. Is it because they're Sci-Fi?

I wonder what would happen if I resubmitted them with "HALLOWEEN 2025" in the notes to Admin... I suspect they will be published within 2 days. It would be wrong, but they will be published.

Something isn't right. I submitted a story July 22. It sat for seven weeks, then on the advice of fellow authors here, on September 9 I withdrew it and resubmitted it. Yesterday it ws listed as having been submitted 9/26. Today it's back to 9/9.

While i was waiting for my current story to come out of Pending, I submitted another one and it got approved within hours and published in a day or so. The one I had submitted in July remained stuck.
