i just got back from seeing a play.. The Merry Widow for those that are interested... i thought it was great at first to see a larger woman on the stage as part of the cast.. at least until the play got under way.. almost every scene they had this woman eating something (she was the only one in the whole cast too), and it was always pointed out, and she ahd to act embarrassed about it.. and frankly, it really ticked me off. not everyone that is overweight likes to eat.. or eats a lot. and what's really strange, is that little bit bothers me more than anything else that i didnt like about the show

*kicks the garbage can and growls*

*grrrr*

That sucks!

And everyone hems and haws over anorexia and such ... hello!

*smacks Azwed's ass when he istn looking*

it does suck.. cuz she is a very beautiful woman (and i'm not just saying that).. i just dont get why its such a habit in most any performance of any kind to make the 'fat woman' the one that's always eating.. that isnt always the case... i find stuff like that not only insulting, but in a sense promoting eating disorders and a lack of self-confidence

Do you think it was meant to be ignorant? Or just a coincidence?

i think it was meant as ignorant.. if it were just a coincidence then there would have been at least one other person in the entire show that would have eaten something, but there wasnt (yes, i pay that much attention to a play)..
