Comments That Make Your Day

This comment yesterday on my story, Mr. Lucky
I read Mr. Lucky, yesterday. [On another site, shush. Don't ask me why.]

That 'lady' was a nasty bitch! And the title certainly was written with tongue in cheek. Jeez, had me very worried the dipshit seemed to be thinking he liked having her lock him in the room with a chair under the doorknob. Had me cringing and glad you didn't get to the end of it ... a knife for God's sake!

Great story, too, by the way. Just a couple of typos in it. :devilish::coffee:

On a story I wrote quickly a year ago, so presumably this person read the latest in the series and went back to it:

"Great dialogue. Am I the only one who noticed?" - re I Say Ass, You Say Arse: Again

I've been complimented on dialogue before but hadn't thought that story was anything special.

The type-o's are fixed but haven't uploaded. Oh, she isn't as nasty a bitch as you think. I have a second Lucky story in development. I'm not sure how Dark Angel (Deja Jada Johnson) knows of Mr. Lucky's (Jimmy Erastus Dole) masochistic tendencies, but she knew in advance. They were high school classmates. He should have recognized her, especially in the hospital scene, but he didn't. He didn't figure it out until halfway through the next (third) meeting.

Yes, Dark Angel has a ruthless streak, which she keeps hidden from prying eyes. What they have told me (yes, my characters dictate much of the story), they were both timid wallflowers in school. Also, Dark Angel was fearful of people when she was young. Since then, she has taken a great deal of training and isn't afraid of much at all. Lucky has never been lucky in his life. He was bullied by bigger boys and girls throughout his school days, with some of his bullies still making things tough on him.

And dmallord, thanks for the read and the kind comments here. If I were the kind of person obsessed over votes, I'd be worried about my most recent two stories being under 4.0.

I just got a good one, on a story I posted six years ago:

"I don't encourage the cheating but it was an excellent read. Very good grammar."

Lol. Wut? I tagged it as a cheating story, doofus, but I guess I appreciate the compliment.

I wonder if you read the new or old version of the story if it was at another site. :) The new version on the other sites is Mr. Lucky Redux, and the old is just Mr. Lucky. While I saw you read it on another site, it didn't sink in right away.

I tried getting into Asstr the other day and got a "can't find" message. So it's gone? How sad. Used to love Kirstens.

From my Summer Lovin' story

In this series you have shown growth as a writer. This chapter was about "family”. You put all the elements in the writing, humor, parenthood, caring for kids, love on different levels depending upon the character. You brought back memories of visiting my aunt and uncle at their pond home and doing the things your character kids did. the dialogue between kids and Josh and Veronica was priceless. But the thing I found most heartwarming was the development of Terri and Audrey. It appears that Audrey will marry Mike and Terri has learned what she do to try and to find happiness.

I hope I don't have to wait another 18 years for one of these

Thank you. I used to check new stories almost daily back in the heyday of Asstr. I do miss the place. Kristens was my fav for new stories. I'll hang on to that link as long as they leave the server info up.

Cheating is OK if done grammatically correct

@Erozetta was kind enough to read through my half-finished WIP when I was feeling a bit lost with it, and she made a lovely comment about a pivotal scene:

Whatever gets adjusted, keep this. It will resonate with a lot of people and bring them to tears in the best and worst way.

On Red Scarf on another site:

[assorted compliments snipped] i really liked the open ending here. this whole story felt so realistic and everything was just. human. the relationship between sarah and anjali was amazing and so real. they didnt have a perfect happy ending, because not all things in life end like that and not all relationships are the standard get married - get a house - start a family format. some relationships are just like this one. i love that they werent an actual couple, they didnt move in together, their love for each other wasnt 100% romantic, but was nonetheless very real and just as important. once again, this felt so so realistic and i am at awe with your imagination and skill. as an autistic lesbian, i loved this so so much. hope you have an amazing day <3

I'm always glad when one of my stories makes somebody happy, but this one made my day because the things they singled out were the same things that were important to me in writing that story.

Thank you. I grew up reading westerns. Louis L'Amour was my all time favorite. You captured the true writing style of L'Amour. The hero fighting against impossible odds. The gunfighter's skill with the gun. The love of beautiful women. The honorable and gentleman cowboy. A wonderful author I know recently said that a good story is one that the reader can't stop reading until the end of the story. I couldn't stop reading the two parts. Keep writing the style you have. All the best in future endeavors

I received this comment to one of my submissions:
"So just a recap, previously in your works we have had oral, vaginal, anal. girl on girl, gang bang, orgy, water sports, toys, spanking, snowballing, bdsm, inter racial and now felching. You sure can mix it up."

I wasn't aware of the meaning of felching so I looked it up and sure enough there's some examples of it in my stories. I replied, "Yes, well I'm currently trying to submit a new novel wherein a mother is receiving cunnilingus from her lover while breast feeding her baby. Apparently Literotica has balked as a violation of their policy of not allowing any description of underage sexual activity.

Unlike the BBFC which allows babies under one to attend 18-rated films at parent & baby showings, Lit has no such policy of babies not counting as noticing sex stuff around them - they're still under 18 so it's a no-no.

I was surprised recently how few people on Lit (the Americans, I think) knew the word felch. I had to write in a paragraph where a guy dimly recalled finding urbandictionary as a teenager and had learned it.

I was pleasantly surprised that no readers complained about it - maybe I've managed to put off all the whingey narrow-minded ones?
