Comments that leave you shaking your head

It's an unattributed quote from another author in a different thread. I'm kinda poking the bear and seeing how long it's going to take them to notice. In other words, I'm bored...:D
okay, glad you didn't just dox yourself as having an alt who seems to be going through some stuff 😅

You know though, when someone has that kind of an overreaction, I have to wonder if maybe there is something going on with them that we aren't privy to, and it might be best to not poke at them.

Fair point. But then, this thread is for calling out things that cross an ill-defined at best line. I'd have posted it if it had been from everyone's favorite anonymous on one of my stories, too.

Fair. It’s your thread. I think the episode highlights that we can have multiple ill-defined lines and that it’s probably not useful to try and pin them all down.

I don't know. I think this is the part where we're supposed to just smile and nod while keeping an eye out for an exit.

Reminds me of a story about a guy who accidentally found himself at a snake handling church. When the snakes came out he saw that he couldn't get to the doors without going past a lot of snakes, so he asked the person next to him if the church had a back door.

"Why, no," the person responded. "We never thought we needed one."

"Well, then," the guy said, "I'm bout to tear y'all a new one."

On 'After her workmate's funeral', a short non-erotic piece I published in April, Anonymous wrote:

"On the way. You should have appeared here."

They also seemed to have voted it up - so, um, thanks! I just can't work out what the comment means.
Mystery solved, I think! Another comment appeared that seemed to suggest that this was an exploration of clearance time between comments.

I'm writing a nonconsent femdom story and I got comments saying that the guy was a little bitch and if he was a real man he'd tell her to go fuck herself. Do people just not bother reading the tags? If femdom isn't your thing that's fine, but why bother reading something you're not into? There are more than enough maledom stories for you to enjoy instead.
I find it amusing when commenters write about how they would get out of the kinky situation because they are much smarter and/or stronger and/or have much greater pride than the sub character

(Now to be fair to a degree it's always good to keep logistics in mind and not rely on the idiot ball too much, so in that sense it's valuable criticism, but sometimes you get the vibe they miiiight be missing the whole point)

I think many if not most readers never see the tags. As a reader, you have to no they are there, recognize an icon and click it before you can see them. Not happening

I got a comment on a LW story telling me that in real life people don't behave as irrationally as the characters in my story. I'm not saying the characters in my story all made great decisions, but I wish I'd grown up in that commenter's community....
