So I'm listening to local radio on my way to the range this AM and one of the subjects discussed was how Williamson had a "break out" moment in last nights debate. She was asked about the Flint water crisis. Then they played a clip.

The clip went something like this; "Let me say this about the Flint water crisis. [insert Charlie Browns teacher here] Trump [more Charlie Browns teacher].

Right off the bat the Flint water crisis erupted in 2014. Who was president then? If you're going to blame the president at least have the mental acuity to blame the right president.

That being said, it wasn't Obama's fault either. He didn't cause it and it wasn't his responsibility to cure it. The United States does NOT have an Imperial Presidency. The Flint water crisis was 100% caused by the Flint city council and it was a financial decision to boot. Further, it wasn't the governor of MI fault either and not his responsibility to cure either. The state did step in but did so for the welfare of the citizens, not the city council.

Flint is just another instance of the people electing incompetents to local administrations and then when the shit hits the fan start screaming for the president to do something. Baltimore is another example of this phenomena.

90% of local problems are caused by the local politicians. 9% is caused by the county/state and the remaining 1% MAY be caused by federal officials. Perhaps if people paid more attention to their local politics and politicians there would be far fewer Flint's, and Baltimore's, and Chicago's and the list goes on.

Be careful about insisting on an Imperial Presidency, you might just get one. Welcome to New China comrade.

The problem with your dipshitery is that the current president can help but chooses not to. That is 100% 45's fault.

I didn't bother to read the OP. Is Ish sucking Franzia again, or will we have to wait until 3:00 in the morning?

Williamson is a fuckwit anti-vaxxer. Fuck her and the horse she rode in on.

She's batshit. Might make a good governor of CA cuz ya know, batshit but she won't be anything but a curiosity on the national level.

holy hell. really?

she also is good friends with oprah, apparently, and has written a(more?) self-help book. i watched her last night and thought she definitely wasn't presidential material... "dark psychic forces"? i can applaud her passion, but she lacks a convincing, solid presence. i cannot applaud her antivax views. that's just trumplican-worthy dumb.

She also believes you can cure cancer with the power of prayer.

I don't give her a snowballs chance in hell. What caught my attention was her mind set and her abysmal lack of historical knowledge.

I thought she was gonna cry during one of her spiels. I was urging her...you can do it!

I remember reading one or two AP stories strongly implying the Flint water problem was the fault of the Republican governor who had just been sworn in.

Was it Obama's 1/2 white privilege that caused him to "choose not to help"... because racism?

Which agency that Obama did not contact with his pen or phone should Trump get in contact with that is empowered to "help" with municipal water issues?

Eh. Turned on last 10 mins. Turned immediately off for commentary. I had a noisy day, I didn’t want to add any more to it.

Can't blame you. It's like watching an auction where the participants get to use the taxpayers dollar. I just didn't bother tuning in.

I didn't mention Obama nor did I mention racism by anyone.

What's a "0hone"? Is that something you tweakers use to contact your dealer?

Guess who want an Imperial presidency? Vespasian was great but this Titus has to go.

She said a lot of other crazy shit that reminded me of a looney tune soothsayer.

She is old-timey All in the Family Liberal bat-guano crazy.

And the amazing thing is, she kind of fits in on that stage...

And I think the underlying point here is that the problems in Democrat enclaves are
swept under the carpet during Democrat Administrations, but should
the White House fall into the hands of Republicans,
then they get all of the blame.

She does have a certain amount of natural sensuality and a good figure for a 67 year old.

But Melania could beat her in the general.

She does provide some entertainment from the drivel of the moderators and the package answers from everyone except Andrew Yang.

Yang and Gabbard are different. I don't agree with all of their proposed policies but at least they're lucid and willing to discuss their notions. The problem is that as Biden falters it's the whack jobs that are getting the attention. From a purely partisan standpoint that's fine with me. I'm not so certain as to that is going to play out in the future.
