Comments on stories

I gather there are two different types of comments for stories.

I got a comment from an AH denizen on my story, a public one, and now it seems to be gone.

So how do I read comments? Are there different methods for the different types?

I need to get my ego stroked, so I would like to see my story's comments.

Sure rg,

Go to your Member's "submissions" page, and each story should have a link that says "Moderate Public Comments". Just click on it.

Or else just got to your story and scroll down to the end where the comments are.

I've posted at least one public comment that disappeared before the writer saw it. It wasn't deleted by the writer, and there was no reason it would have been seen as negative or inappropriate. It just disappeared.

On the same comments page, someone said it was her second time posting the same thing; the first one hadn't posted.

Are there some bugs in the public comment system? I've never clicked "submit" anywhere else on Lit and had the post just evaporate.
