Hello,

I'm an artist looking for a writer to help me create a fun, light hearted erotic/porn comic strip. Not necessarily hentai. Although I am capable of a variety of art styles and I'm open to suggestions.

Here's some potential characters....

but I'm open to developing completely different ones and going in any direction stylisticly. I want this to be more of your story and vision but still collaborate with you

I can provide a deviantart page for more of my art if you ask.

That is not the extent of my talent or skill, and I'm willing to work with you to develop your vision as we create this comic.

I did stress that I wanted to develop the characters together... if you'd like to suggest a character that fits your vision I'd be happy to draw it. I just thought I could show something that might set the tone a bit, fun loving and light hearted...

The balance between funny and erotic might be a challenge.... Which is what I'm interested in exploring... I don't want to do a series drama with sex... think Fritz the Cat maybe but I am no R. Crumb....

My point, and no offence intended, is the images you’re using to sell this idea are not very sexy.

Perhaps showcase your skills in some other way?

Again... fun and light hearted.... not erotic.... think Bugs Bunny in a dress, not beastiality.....

I imagine this is out of most authors comfort zone here.... just thought I'd give it a shot, maybe someone here would think it was fun to try. Or maybe someone would enjoy collaborating and creating something together and that could be anything... just not boring.

No harm done if no one is interested. I wish you all the best on your writing and life goals.
 
That's fair... but I don't care if a man or woman or non-binary person wants to help. I'm fine with any on that. I thought it'd be fun and/or easier with a partner... as the comic book tradition is rich in.



And if I'm just too new.. I apologize for trying to get help or help others if anyone else wanted to do this as well.... sorry if I've overstepped .... but that reeks of the circular logic about needing experience to get experience.....but if that's how it is, I apologize for trying.

Edit: also, as you've stated.... not erotic ... fun.... not serious...
 
OK - just please be aware that those who have gone before you have set the tone you experience. Get a sense of the place. Try reading some stories. Approach an author whose sensibilities align with yours.

Not being mean or unwelcoming. Just setting expectations.

And I this is a porn writing forum. People may say erotic literature, but call a shovel a shovel.

Well this tone sucks... and you are being mean and unwelcoming... i understand everyone needs to be safe... but ya know... I think I'll just stay out of here. Just forget I was even here and delete this thread....

Not sure how you can tell my tone. But my words have been polite. I don’t think what you are pitching is going to have many takers. And you are facing an uphill struggle to find someone (male or female) to collaborate right off the bat.

I collaborate with people I am friends with. If you are serious, try that route.

Again, I’m not sure where I have been impolite. I’m just describing how things are.

Plenty of new people fit in just fine here. They just aren’t assuming that things are going to happen a certain way.

A final point, people want to collab with people who come across well and are friendly.

She's not wrong. The AH has its own culture. Part of that culture involves wariness of the motives of would-be "collaborators" who have poisoned the well in the past.
