Technically speaking I should be posting this thread on the "Story Feedback" forum but since I find myself hanging here with the creative thinkers of this world I decided to throw my free plug here and discuss at the same time comic books in general by way of writing.

The facts are that comic books and cartoons are great sources for erotica material and inspiration. With conventional gravity bound human sex it seems people are repeating themselves whereas you throw in a bit of extra ordinary power you can really go places.

Another thing is that it's unfortunate that a person has simply three holes or two to be physically pleasured, (though the nostrils and ears ideas may have come up in desparation) and only a certain finite number of body parts/toys to do the pleasuring and professions/family members that can work those numbers. Added up you only come up with possibility wise the number 42 (I'll let Hitchiker fans devour how I derived at that number). Thus you need to think outside the box in order to come up with ripe solutions and thus the fantasy world is a wide open catagoree.

Comic books are part of our culture and their popularity and success in Hollywood just shows that adults crave part of their youth. I say you give adults a bit more.

All comic book posters and people with an opinion anti up to this thread. We want your feedback and stories. Plugs naturally permitted and encouraged.

by any odd chance, are you a phil foglio fan? :> and didn't peter david once write a column about the unfortunate side effects of superman having sex? i mean, if he can fly at the speeds he does, when he comes...yikes! :D

Phil Foglio fan? Is he a poster or poster child?

I think only Wonderwoman can handle him though Hawkgirl would tear him apart.

nope, i'm speaking of this fellow. he publishes an x-rated comic book titled xxxenophile. :> if you're into actual tabletop RPGs (e.g., dungeons & dragons, etc), he's the same gentleman who created phil & dixie.

Silverwhisper, you're thinking of "Man of Steel. Women of Kleenex." It's from All the Myriad Ways © 1971 by Larry Niven.

As for comic book erotica, 'Bondage Fairies' is good stuff; I never knew bestiality and sadomasochism could be so cute.

I disagree that "comic books and cartoons are great sources for erotica material and inspiration." Fan fiction is fan fiction. It's not all bad but it's highly derivative and is inclined to be substandard. I say this as a writer of fan fiction.

Not to put too fine a point on it, FanFiction is also outright plagiarism. Someone else has gone to a lot of time, trouble and effort to create a set of characters, and an environment, whereupon the FanFic "writer" comes along and uses that effort to boost his(her) own work. Clearly (s)he is either lacking in imagination, or bone idle. Either way it is pure theft of intellectual property, and breach of copyright if it is done within seventy years of the death of the original author (with one or two exceptions).

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that parody is an exception to copyright law. Sometimes Or else Mad magazine would have been out of business long ago.

One site I checked describes this area as "murky".

never: thanks. evidently, i misremembered. :>

snooper: the legal status of fan fic is not, AFAICT, quite as cut & dried as that. it depends on just how paranoiacally the IP owner defends its property. for example: i'm fairly certain that j. michael straczynski wouldn't particularly care about fan fic based on babylon 5, or joss whedon re: buffy, angel or firefly. other IP owners however are not quite so tolerant.

Well since I deal in satires and parodies I really am exempt.

Plus I donate 50% of my Literotica commission check to support my charitable drug addiction whereas the original authors are welcome to the rest or at least a bong hit should they desire.

writing adult comics

I've been writing adult comics for a couple years now. I self-published one (a crazy story about 3 brothers tangling with 4 oversexed vampire women) and it sold out of its print run. I'm currently writing the sequel and am looking for an artist for my wild espionage/erotica comic.

I've met many adult comic writers and artists and most do not get the respect they deserve. Many of these people are top-notch creators, but they get cast aside because they prefer to tell erotic stories. There are also many top creators in the major companies who either started doing adult work (Mike Oeming) or would love to do adult work.
