The time has almost arrived. Possibly within the next week, former FBI director James Comey will testify before a Senate committee to outline the pathetic attempt by the con artist to shut down a Russian collusion investigation.

Comey has spoken privately with Special Counsel Robert Mueller III to work out the parameters for his testimony to ensure there are no legal entanglements as a result of his public account, a source said. Comey will likely sit down with Mueller, a longtime colleague at the Justice Department, for a formal interview only after his public testimony.

Although Comey will not testify into the ongoing investigation of collusion between the con artist campaign and Russia, he will provide the most clear and open recitation of the interaction he had with the con artist who tried to extract a loyalty pledge from the former director. This on top of his firing for refusing to shut down the investigation.

When asked to comment on the upcoming testimony, the con artist replied, "It's all fake. Nothing but fake news. It's as covfefe fake as the words I make up."

Yes but the real question is what will the con artist dream up to try and prevent it?

They managed to squash Sally Yates and John Brennan for quite a while, though they eventually did testify. I fear a tragic accident for Comey, a "terrorist" incident, or something else.

Given how much he lied, I am positive he's petrified of the truth coming out.

I'm sure that you can come up with a long list of verifiable lies that James Comey has told.

What I find amusing is this has been going on for ... umm .... 7 months or so now and what do we have? Nada. Nuffinks. Just a bunch of baseless accusations. Loving the nonsense.

Benghazi all over again.

A shorter time and much more than was had on Benghazi. You're embarrassing yourself.

Actually, it's longer than that. It began in July, 2016, before Trump was even formally nominated.

You all can delude yourself that there aren't several raging fires associated with the various facets of the Russia-Trump partnership, if you like. Just so much more egg on your faces in the end. :)

I don't believe there is anything happening. After all this time, no "raging fires" have become visible through the smoke. At the same time, nobody can prove a negative.

People have been comparing this debacle to Benghazi, but there is no real comparison. Something definitely happened in Libya, but it was not a crime, just a matter of a monumental blunder and a coverup.

It's fine if you don't see anything, Box. You're clueless and harmless.

Noooooo, the only thing that embarrasses me is posting tables of story competition results.

Benghazi? Now that was a cover up and just one amongst a gazillion things. If the Republicans had been doing their job, Obama would have been impeached long before he had a chance to do so much damage. Clinton with him. As for Holder and the rest of them, well, there's far more concrete evidence against all of them. Using the IRS for political reasons amongst others. The lot of them should have been removed but the RINO's don't have any balls.

Say what I will about demonrats, they don't lack in conviction. The ends justifies the means alright. I'm just glad that more and more of us on the conservative side of the political spectrum are learning these tactics and techniques. It's gratifying to see. One can only hope for a lot more Republicans like my hero Greg Gianforte to make it into office in the mid-terms. And for more and more RINO's like that cuck Eric Cantor to be tossed out on their asses. They can take Kushner with them on the way out. More Steve Bannon, that's what we need.

We have verified information that Russian trolls hacked the DNC and used social media to influence voters.

We have verified information that the Trump campaign was in contact often with Russian government officials.

We have verified information that Trump appointees omitted meeting with Russian government officials on signed documents and sworn testimony.

It's all emotional hatred. For years Liberals and Democrats alike screamed about how unjust Russia was to its people and that we should should be the ones to end the cold war by loosening our policies in respect to Russia. Now they are pissed Trump's doing exactly that. Unlike Obama, Trump isn't letting anyone run all over us.

Same goes for Comey. Both Democrats and Republicans wanted Comey out, citing lack of cooperation. Libs and Dems especially wanted him to resign because of his investigations into Hilary. Now that Trump has done exactly as they wanted, he's hated even more because of it. Personally, I think Comey was doing his job. Too many 'experts' and the general population have a very short term memory.

Trump's screaming "about how unjust Russia was to its people"? I think you are seriously confused.

And I've been around a really long time and a liberal Democrat all that time. I don't remember liberals and/or Democrats screaming about how unjust Russia was to its people--might have mentioned it with a whole lot of other humanistic issues, but I've never seen it on the top of a list that Democrats were jumping up and down about.

So, you aren't just confused--you are making things up to suit your reactionary agenda.

There was a time when Liberals raved about what a wonderful place the Soviet Union was - A workers' Paradise - regardless of the food shortages and other problems that are endemic to a country with a gov. such as they had.

A. As usual, you fallaciously conflate "all liberals." Which is dopey. You are dopey.

B. What does this have to do with liberals and Democrats screaming about how unjust Russia is to its people? Did I mention that you are dopey?

I didn't say "All Liberals" and even you must be aware that in the 1920's and even through the 1960"s there were some Americans, usually called Liberals or Progressives, who believed the US and the rest of the world would be better off under a gov. system similar to the USSR.

That just goes to prove that there are assholes of every political description. There are people right now saying the Trump has done... something wonderful(?) since he's been in office. I however feel he has fucked up in everything he's tried to accomplish.

Trump could stop Comey with executive privilege

Former FBI Director James Comey is expected to testify publicly before the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee next week on his allegedly nefarious meetings with President Donald Trump, according to media reports Wednesday. During one interaction, the commander-in-chief reportedly asked Comey to drop the domestic intelligence agency’s investigation into disgraced former ex-National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, as well as a probe into the administration’s supposed contacts with Russia during last year’s presidential election.

Comey’s testimony could completely blow wide open the ongoing Trump-Russia saga that’s plagued the country’s political landscape for months and severely hampered the billionaire’s attempts to exact his domestic and foreign agenda. But the president does have the option of blocking Comey from testifying if he attempts to invoke the constitutionally and largely court-upheld right of executive privilege.

Go on Donald, try that even Fox might have the guts to call you out for obstruction of justice.

Well, that's no secret. There are some who think Silly Hilly would have been an outstanding POTUS, and that The Big O was the greatest of all time.

One ting I will say about Trump is that he is trying to keep his campaign promises.

No he's not. He hasn't kept a single one. Hillary's not in jail, Obamneycare wasn't repealed and replaced on day one, millions of illegals weren't deported in his first hour in office, Mexico isn't paying for the wall, he's gone golfing more times in three months than Obama went in four years, and the swamp is overflowing.

But keep making excuses. Anything to deflect from the fact you've been conned.

Are the coal jobs back yet?

Hillary not being in jail may be a good thing, because it would serve no purpose now to lock her up and would just have the appearance of being vindictive. Even so, the option is still open.

There are bills in Congress to repeal Obamacare, and there will soon be a vote on the repeal and revised plan.

There are numerous illegals being deported, some of whom had been welcomed by Obama: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...eases-deportations-former-dreamers/100609524/

The existing bodrer fences are being repaired and maintained and the new wall is in the process of being built. http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/donald-trump-s-border-wall-progress-report-n764726 Whether Mexico will end up paying for it remains to be seen.

The times you mention were obvious hyperbole, and nobody could have taken them seriously. The point is, Trump is keeping his campaign promises.
