Comedic Erotica?

I was thinking of writing some short stories involving comedic erotica. These stories would be so ourageous, not only will the reader get aroused but get a good laugh as well. In my experience, laughter is a great part of sex, and thought some stories along those lines would be unique, or are they? I have never really seen any... except maybe your average porn flick with the cheesy lines such as "Debbie Does Dallas".

I was wondering if you folks ever heard of this, or have written anything along these lines.

It's a tough challenge, managing humour in erotica. It really depends on the type of comedy. Quick-witted, Beckett type humour works great for erotica (but is super-hard to write), and satirical comedy works well, too. My own opinion is that slapstick or situational comedy tends to take away from the mood--it's likely to become erotic comedy, rather than comedic erotica.

The best type of comedy for erotica is realistic humour--writing that celebrates the inherant comedy of sex without adding on a whole bunch of devices. You're right, there isn't a lot of it out there, but there's definitely some, especially in the satire realm.

I'd suggest that you also make sure that you have thick skin. From what I've read of user comments on here, it seems like readers looking for a quick wank get really mad when you clutter up a story with humour.

A lot of my stores are humorous, though humor is not the main point. I like to parody cliche story lines, sometines exaggerating them to that end. (And yes, often the humor is not understood and I get hate mail, but it goes witht he territory.)

For example, "Principles" is humorous because it shows a "simple" woman outsmarting her book-smart husband over and over to get pregnant against his wishes.

Generally these are not my most popular stories, but that don't do badly and I enjoyed writing them.

Comedic Erotica

I think laughter is as important as any other reation during sex, unless, it's heard the minute I drop'em. So I'm going to take a shot. As soon as I can edit in an acceptable manner. I can't seem to locate the spell check either.

I've written a couple of humor pieces for this site, though one was a mock "interview", satirizing Playboy mag's 20 Questions format. The other's called "Lauren's Lollipop," and it's not laugh-out-loud funny so much as entertaining if you happen to know anything about Mormonism.

But, there *are* some very funny pieces on here. Take a cruise through the Humor listings. Some of them are well worth it.

Humorous stories.......

Most of what I write is with a humorous design.

Suggestible Suzie is Mind Control, but done for laughs.

Phantom of the Rush Hour is my present contribution to the Halloween Contest and while employing slightly less overt humor, was still written mostly for fun.

A Surfeit of Bard while intended as humor, is more literary and is a good fit in NonErotic

That's the only style I care to write...

Though I have a few Twilight Zonish types, I write predominately plot driven humor. The sex is hardly ever normal and accompanies my preverted sense of humor.

Anyways my Sex Trek is one of my unusual pieces in that it has an "x" and a "k" in it which are worth 13 points in scrabble but unfortunately I couldn't pull off as one word no matter how much drugs I tried to push on my opponent. My "Unwashed Shorts" rocks the house so I've been lead to believe.
