Come in and talk to me about....

Don't corner one.

Ever.

Not unless you intend to engage it in mortal combat.

The dreaded mongrel wombat!

Opossums have three types of teeth and a prehensile tail.

Additionally, they are fetid and nocturnal.

grrrrrrr.. in English please?

And this is what hangs out on your doorstep?

Possums , seem to be all over the country roads, they freak me out , they just look like giant rats... Yuck !

Ok, you wanna talk about strange? It's not a marsupial, but there's an animal in Madagascar called an aye-aye. I read about them once on a list of endangered animals. The reason they're endangered is because the locals consider them evil omens, so they hunt them and kill them. Not really for sport or as pests...just cuz they think they're evil.

I'd post a pic, but honestly they are a little on the evil looking side. No wait, lemme find a link. Sec...oh, they're creepy little bastards! lol

Imagine running into one of these clinging to your trees in the middle of the night: http://www.duke.edu/web/primate/ayeaye1.html

Straight out of my Webster's dictionary.

S/he only comes to visit on rare occasion. I have a recipe all picked out, too.

Bats, I like. They serve a very important purpose too.

We see them a lot on the streets and I try very hard to avoid running over them but then as I am driving out in the morning hours , they are road kill all over the place .. some mean people aim for them and run them over... big rat looking .. but I feel bad for them.

Eh, forget marsupials, let's talk about bats!

My favourite bats are flying foxes - a six foot wingspan, now that's a bat!
