Combining our two worlds (Open)

The coat wasn't properly fitted for me, but her eyes narrowed at me as she demanded I try it on first. "Alright. Okay," giving in. Sliding one arm in and then the other, turned towards her with with the halves of the coat coming together. Twisting at the waist slowly left and then right, trying to be a bit of a model to put her at ease. "Not slimming for me, for sure," jesting lightly.

Outside, Splatter was stomping the streets, his veins pumping. He was staring straight ahead with a glare to his eyes, trying to find something, anything, that needed to be put down. This town was so dry that there was nothing for him that he could see for blocks. The people on the sidewalks scattered at his arrival and cars either slowed down or sped away out of fascination and fear.

"I could alter it for something that would suit you," slowly taking off the coat to give to Sybil. I had to pause there about the minefield I was approaching about asking a woman her dimensions.

Sybil sighed and took the coat back seeing there was nothing wrong with it and put it on her body seeing it fit her perfectly "No this is fine... I just want to find my mentor..He's looking for crime and in this world I know they handle things differently." She said

She looked at him seriously " Lets go, the longer were her the more lost and confused and angry he'll get" she said and headed toward the hole Splatter made following his steps she was scared for him and this world even if they weren't real for them them were quite real now and she knew her mentor could get in trouble in this world.

"No crime. No crime. No crime," Splatter kept saying to himself as a burning sensation slowly took over. His head was on fire, throbbing. The slightest noise set him off. People were running from him and all the while he had this overwhelming desire to put someone down. A chance came, one chance. A man came running out of a store up ahead. Having heard of the screaming and fleeing, this man became wracked with fear that he ran out of the store with a coat in his hand.

A criminal!

Splatter gave chase.

Walking out into the chilly air, looking left and right on the sidewalk, I turned to Sybil, "Any idea of where he could be?" Little did I realize that in his tirade in leaving my apartment, Splatter had knocked over several vials, broken or uncorked them, and were left oozing together behind the table on the floor.

"Please! Please, no!" the man pleaded as Splatter gave chase and quickly cornered the man against a tree. Splatter's massive hand wrapped tightly around the man's throat and hoisted him three feet into the air with ease. Grasping Splatter's wrist tightly, the air forced from his throat, the man flailed his legs trying to kick himself free. The biceps felt nothing for the effort.

Sybil heard the scream and took off quickly and found her mentor a few blocks away. " Splatter!" She said seeing her mentor wasn't himself and moved next to him . She knew everyone was scared and no one was insane enough to approach him but she wasn't afraid of him..She knew he'd never hurt her.

"Mentor... He-he's a civilian... we never hurt civilians... you taught me that remember?" She said looking at him in the eyes scared for him but he seemed lost and she felt hurt tears filling her eyes she wanted to kill the wizard for this " Please... please don't lose yourself mentor... we're supposed to only kill the guilty" she said moving her hands to help get his tight grip off of the man's neck but he was way stronger than her and and he lifted her like she was nothing with his other hand and she saw nothing there it was cold " Splatter..."She said as tears rolled down her cheeks when he told her there was nothing in this world to save.

Coming to the scene, my heart raced. There was this hulk of a man lifting another adult male into the air as though he were just an apple. The man he held was now failing, his hands sliding off Splatter's wrists, his face turning red, eyes rolling back. Sybil pleaded for him as I stood back. I couldn't do anything, not physically. her words seem to be having some effect in his deranged mind. Splatter's head slowly turned to meet his ward. As she pleaded, his arm slowly lowered until the man's feet touched the ground and let go. The man fell to the ground with a thud and laid motionless for a moment before he started to twitch. He wasn't dead, the starvation of oxygen had knocked him unconscious, now the body was trying to come back. He twitched and twitched.

"Good god" I gasped, standing a few feet behind Sybil. The damage had been done. Splatter turned to meet both of us, his right hand near his pistol, the other in front of him, fist clenched tightly. The flare in his eyes, gritting of his teeth, the straining of blood vessels in his head, the skin turning almost maroon. He was still in there, fighting for control. What was causing this? I had used my magic countless time and this...this hadn't happened before, as far as I could remember. It must be his mind, some sort of magical residue affecting his pathology. This universe, my universe, was somehow contaminating his mind and now it was fighting itself.

"Don't get too close to him," warning Sybil as I reached for my potions. There was a combination I could use, sending him back or knocking him out. Doing so would risk exposure for me, right now there was no other option.

"What's happening?" Sybil asked looking at her mentor and slowly steeping back like he directed her "What are you going to do to him?" She said to the wizard concerned, she didnt want him hurt she just wanted him to stop and to understand her.

She drew her sword seeing his hand near his gun. She knew she could disable he mentor she had done it before and shed be prepared to injure but not kill if he started shooting the tub around because she knew the bullets were tipped with venom.

"I don't know," I replied, trying to shout over Splatter's roar. "It's...it's like his mind is fighting the reality around him." That's when I had to use my magic, public be damned. I could leave town or figure out something later. I had the potion in my hand and was about to throw it when this intense crackling noise reverberated through my apartment followed by a low rumble that rippled under our feet.

My eyes widened in horror, head jerking back towards the source. I could feel my heart seize in my chest as my legs became weak. That noise, it was like the sound of an approaching train. It just sucked the sound out for a moment then built up this rolling thunder, building up and building up with each second until it was right at your ear and it all turns into this deafening roar that drowns out everything and it's so much that it makes your head ache.

That's what happened. The eruption of color was blinding. Even closing my eyes and shielding them with both hands wasn't enough. It lasted for maybe a second, yet it was enough to temporarily blind me that I fell to the ground in agony. Splatter roared and started firing blinding, his venom-tipped rounds going in every direction. I couldn't see anything, groping about trying to find Sybil in all this.

What was happening in my apartment was pure chaos. So many portals opened at once that they all spilled together into my apartment. Two figures collided in mid-air and rolled together across the floor, both figures struggling to gain dominance over the other. When they were finally done, one had the other pinned, aiming a pistol at the other's head with a stern warning, "Move and you're dead." That's when the threat was realized it was being levied on a stranger. The person wielding the pistol was this crimson headed woman wearing fatigues, her green eyes narrowed at what she thought was her arch-rival, a German-accented Baroness. Except, it wasn't. It was this strange looking redheaded man with a trench coat with this satisfied smile on his feeling as if he appreciated the woman holding him down and threatening him, "Bonjour, mon cher!" the man said in a Cajun accent. This man's strange face creeped her out. His eyes were...inhuman, black with red pupils. He looked like he was inhabited by an alien with that look.

"Who are you? Are you with Cobra?" the redheaded woman growled, aiming her pistol to his forehead.

The man chuckled, "Cher, if you keep this up, I'll be with anyone you like."

Their moment was broken when several more figures came spilling out, nearly knocking them over. A powerfully built blonde male charged out of the portal brandishing a circular shield. His charge led him right through a wall and into the neighbor's apartment before he could stop. Straightening his posture and looking back, the man appeared in the hallway and saw the chaos unfold as people came out fighting whoever they saw first. The man's eyebrows buckled at this...chaos. Nothing about it made sense.

One person spilled out, rolling onto the floor and bounced onto my couch, nearly knocking it over. Painfully sitting up, holding her flat stomach, the woman groaned as if she had been rabbit punched, head in the clouds. "Wha...." as her green eyes looked about.

Cackling rang her ear, the last thing she heard before being thrown violently was the sound of her foe, this maniacal clown threatening to gas her city of Gotham with his Joker Venom. His laughter continued to ring in her ears, but the clown was nowhere to be seen. Her body ached as she sat up, her clothing tightening, her yellow boots and gloves moving through the air slowly.

The man on the floor, being held at gunpoint, was still trying to be flirty with the redhead holding him down. "N'ver seen you before. Where you from?"

"I'm from the place that'll put you down if you don't talk" growled the redhead.

"No need to be hostile, cher," the man giggled. "I have no quarrel with you. In fact, I'd like to share some cajun cuisine with you, if you don't mind."

Standing up from the couch and painfully walking over, one hand on her stomach, the other reaching out, "Excuse me, can..." the woman was asking in pained tone towards the redhead when a sharp stab was administered to her gut, forcing all the air from her lungs. It was just a simple question that gave Batgirl an answer from the other redhead, a hit to the gut with her pistol barrel.

"Now that's not nice!" the man spat, reaching with his right hand and grasping the barrel and injecting it with an energy that intensified with heat, causing both to let go. The pistol fell to the ground and ruptured in a brilliant spark, like a grenade, it blew apart yet harmed no one.

Sybil looked around in confusion her mentor in the center and madness coming in all around them people coming in through portals all around them and she grabbed her sword ready to defend herselfnif this was an ambush.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING?!"Sybi shouted and shed her coat just in case she had to be in action. She found the wizard and aimed her knife at him so angry she wanted to cut his head off but knew she couldn't " Fix this now! Youve just made this a million times worse do you realize that?!"

"Oh, no!" I tried to exclaim, half-blinded. "I can't...." trying to force out an answer. There was no fixing it. The portals were open and everything was coming out. That was the key problem in using these powers. It was inclusive, like a door opening. Someone, or something, can also come through unexpectedly.

Roaring in rage, Splatter began firing in the direction of the portals as people came streaming out.

"Heeehehahahahaha, Oh, what fun! A new playground!" this cackling, lanky fellow with a bleached white face, red lips, and wicked eyes in a purple suit walked out.

Blinking and rubbing my eyes with the palms of my hands, I shouted to Sybil, "There's no fighting..." and the wind was taken from my lungs by this tremendous suction. The portals, as fast as they were opening, were closing. Like a atomic bomb, the explosion was now drawing in air, filling itself until it erupted in another brilliant display of white.

Sybil looked around at the chaos and the wizard that was barely able to catch his breath. She had no choice but to tackle the mentor to stop the shooting which definitely let him stunned and on his back she was only able to do that when angry and you could sauna this point Sybil was very pissed.

The final portal opened and closed and she stabbed her blade into the ground causing the earth to ripple and shudder and that wasn't even at max capacity of the power her blade held. She watched as the room got silent and all eyes were on her. She was pretty sure she was shaking with fury " FUCKING CONTROL YOURSELVES OR I WILL SLICE THE SKIN OFF OF EVERYONE!" She said fire and seriousness in her eyes that she truly meant what she had said.

She walked over to the wizard and looked him in the eye then at the 30 other people in the room now " Explain things now or you probably will not have long to be in this... where ever we are ! I'm done with this madness! Figure out how to send these people back, especially the clown "she said pissed

The vials...the vials must have broken. As Sybil threatened me in front of these people, my eyes glanced over at their surprised faces. They were all stunned, or most of them were, about where they were. This wasn't their home or city, this was a near place now broken by the portal and Sybil's earthquake.

"These are....they're characters from the comic books," speaking to Sybil, trying to keep a serious, and focused tone. "Brought into this world because the vials were broken during...Splatter's storming out of the room earlier." Daring to step away and venture over to the knocked about table, my eyes saw the glowing potions and their broken vials on the floor. Damn. Ruined. If a potion is tainted by even the slightest touch of another, then they couldn't be used.

"I can make new potions and take them back," I said to Sybil as I righted the table and cleaned it off. "It'll take time."

"Oh, pardon, m'sieur," said one of the new arrivals from the back, his accent was richly French, but not pure. It sounded like he was Louisiana with trench coat and curled up red hair, his eyes were black with red pupils. "I may be new to these-here parts, but, who is this petite?" approaching Sybil with a beaming smile. "Allowing me to introduce myself, the name's Gambit. Remember it."

Sybil eyes the good looking southern man and instantly knew a theif when she saw one. She also noticed he was a playboy a lot like the men she was used to. She could have some fun with him, but right now she was focused on helping this wizard get these portals closed.

"Sybil"she said in response to him not sharing her real name and then said " Now out of my way Cajun, we can do introductions later...you"she said pointing to some of the portals "needs to stop otherwise we will be having big dangerous problems coming to this world and I need to get my mentor back aligned."She said then walked over to help the wizard clean

"How long is it going to take? Maybe some of us can help? I'm sure these people want to get back home" she said

This Gambit character seemed mildly offended that the assassin wasn't flattered by his charm. As Sybil continued to aim her blade towards me, I rummaged through what was left of my potions to find a satisfactory answer. It didn't look good. Key ingredients were destroyed.

All of these characters, most of whom I recognized from their respective comic books, leered at me or at each other, confused as to how they came to be here. There were stand-offs and harsh words exchanged, but no fighting as I found some small vials that may be enough to send at least a few of them back. Quickly I made a few drops onto the board, summoned an incantation in Latin. As I was speaking a Latin incantation, the Joker, who had been watching the whole show, put together what was happening.

"I'm going to have some fun of my own!" cackled Joker as he reached from several vials.

"No today!" Gambit replied, reaching into the inside pocket of his trench coat for a deck of cards that glowed brightly as energy was infused into it. Flinging his right arm towards the Joker, the card sliced through the air with a strange 'Eeeee' tone.

Seeing this card cutting towards him, the Joker grasped the collar of his colorful fuck buddy and punching bag, the blonde Harley whose eyes widened in horror, forcing out a strangled 'Eep!' before the card impacted her body with a terrific bang that threw her into the back wall, smoke rising from her body as she groaned, unable to move. "Nice to see you're good for something," Joker cackled once more before rushing out the door.

" Damn that clown! He's an asshole" Sybil said annoyed he had done that to his girlfriend and annoyed he had gotten out with some of the vials, now she had another problem on her hand. " Ill deal with the clown later."She said and glanced over seeing a few characters checking on the girl.

" See wizard this is out of control! Is there somewhere I can put these people? An old warehouse or something? We need to get them secure and some place to stay until you can send them back and I can tell them what's happening. They have powers and they're scared and confused by what I'm seeing. This needs to be controlled I don't need them losing their shit"

She glanced over at the Cajun who was eyeing her like steak especially in this outfit and she knew exactly what he was thinking. She noticed some of the darker ones of the group had vanished and cursed under her breath. " Cajun, And black cape man your with me that clown came from the portal with you so he must be from your world and Cajun I've seen what you can do were going to find some of these guys so they can't cause too much trouble here , Red head....".

She said to the woman in an all black latex bodysuit with boots "You and the guy with the s on his chest keep these people in the room well make introductions later but we need to keep this under control "

There was much confusion. Sybil was trying to rein it in as I collected what was left of my vials and anything else that would betray my occupation. She was right, we have to get out of here before the authorities arrived. No doubt they were being delayed by the chaos outside. We have to find a way, and I knew which way it was. There was an old warehouse on the southern outskirts of town. It use to be a soda distribution center. Far as I know, it still functioned, but it didn't have an occupant. That would be our only chance.

"I have a car downstairs," I said, with all of my belongings in hand, then surveyed all of the people. There were too many to cram into mine. "I can take a few of you. Sybil will ride with me...Gambit, you too."

The Cajun smiled, first at me and then at Sybil, "I wouldn't mind riding in the backseat with you, cher."

Following her instructions, Batgirl and Batman grabbed the chest. They would follow us. The others would have to steal a vehicle and follow. "Let's get out of here." There was no time for a teleportation potion, or anything else that would make things easier.

Running down the stairs and into the back parking lot, my Honda sat. I jumped into the driver seat, stashed my stuff under my legs as Sybil hopped into the front passenger, Gambit right behind her, and others jumped into the backseat and cargo bay, struggling to close the doors. Batgirl and Batman were already long gone.

"You better watch your hands!" I heard a woman with a posh British accent admonish from the backseat. She had the unfortunate luck of sitting on some man's rather eager lap. Clenching her teeth together, she endured it as I backed out and drove off, leaving behind my apartment and my life.

A mile or so down the road, my eyes strained to try and find the Joker. He was long gone. With all of the potions in his possession, and his crazed mind, there was no telling what he could do.

Sybil eyed the hot Cajun flirt up and down thinking of more than riding with him in the backseat and shook her head she could have fun later if she wanted but now she needed to help get these people somewhere, stop the clown, and her mentor.

"She glanced at the other vehicle where the man with the deep voice and dark suit and his sidekick drove off with one group while she and few others rode in the car with the wizard while the fled the scene.

"Where are we going? What's the plan?"She asked and looked at the wizard " Once we get to that abandoned warehouse well have to make shelter for these people, can your powers do that?"

"It can" I stammered. My fingers gripped the wheel tightly, eyes wide. Everything was a blur. There were all these people crammed in my vehicle, people that were once mere ink were now flesh and blood. Sybil was eyeing me, waiting for a reassurance answer. "It can!" tapping the steering wheel. "It can work!"

Glancing at the rear view mirror, Gambit's black and red eyes were glancing over at Sybil. I know that look, the look of hunger. Some of it was lingering in the limited airspace.

"We'll get to the warehouse, set up the shelter, and set up a base so we can track where the Jokers going...including your master."

"So, that's the reject' s named, eh?" Gambit chuckled in the back. "Ain't much, is me, cher?" Asking Sybil with a thin smile.

"His name is the Joker" I replied slightly annoyed now that I see that Gambit was eyeing Sybil.

"Joker, eh?" Gambit smirked. "Ain't no clown I ever seen. Last one I saw wore yellow spandex for infiltration. Ask me, seems to be pointless, even for a guy like that."

Getting to the warehouse was difficult, it was isolated with only one road to get there that was not lit. We pulled up in front of the building after rolling up a snake road that was mostly mud and overgrown. When the engine stopped and I told everyone to get out, it was as if a man had undid his belt after Thanksgiving dinner, all that extra weight came spilling out onto the ground.

Time to see who we picked up before hustling out of there...

Sybil looked around with the wizard and chuckled at his annoyance with the Hot Cajun, she asked gather the women and she gathered all the men easily getting a head count and where they were from which she instructed gambit to do as well before handing them to the wizard.

" Thats everyone and their world, i dont know how long it will take to fix this, but i think we need to gather a team to get my master and joker off of the real world streets, if we are real now, somare our weapons, and powers"she said catching on the situation quickly.

"I don't know how long it will take," I replied. "But I'm going to work on it right now."

What we didn't know was, Joker was going ape-shit back in the town. The madman was like a kid in a candy store, tearing the place apart, chasing after people and devouring them.

I conjured up a tracking spell via a small portal and summoned Sybil over, "I found your master." He was still alive, but clearly under Joker's control with the fire in his eyes as he went after people through the town with a blood-filled rage. "I can't counteract the spell from here. I have to get and subdue him" as regrettable as it sounded, there was a high chance that such a move would kill him.

Now came the rallying of the people with us to our cause and to arm them for our counter-attack. They were sucked in from their worlds and brought here, they still have that mindset of their old worlds and not all of them were armed. What better way to arm people than with weapons of magic to fight magic? Joker would no doubt be able to enhance and counter us if given enough time. He was a madman and there was a method to his madness.

Sybil was silent for a moment, the clown will pay for this, the man she saw was not her master and she gripped the handle of her blade tightly in anger. She heard the wizard say he would have to get the large man and subdue him . " I will do it" Sybil said coldly and fought back angry tears. Tears of anger and sadness , the clown had used the vulnerable mind of her master to slaughter for fun and she would not have it.

Max and Gambit looked at her as if she grew two heads , she knew how much larger her master was than her , but she also knew fighting skills and smarts, he woukd not remeber any of that under anothers controls, she would knock him out and bring him back.

" You are coming with me, he is from your world" she said pointing to the man in the batsuit and and man in black bodysuit who descibribed himself at nightwing. She sighed giving Max a look and then pointing to the redhead who introduced herself as Natasha " Can you watch out for everyone until im back, make sure noone leaves, including the wizard " she said and glanced at Max for a moment she knew he was responsible fot this but was however sure if he would bailnor not out of nervousness.

She loaded the men in the car " Put a tracking spell on us all, including joker and splatter,I will handle subduing my master even if i have to kill the clown" she said seriously.

"I can do that" I said to her. "Get going and you'll be able to feel it soon." They dashed back to town leaving me with a large group of concerned and bitter people. I'm use to taking one or two people out of the comic book world at a time, and they were all women and for a good romp before returning. THIS, however, is not what I wanted. They surrounded me, demanding answers.

"Hold on, everyone" said Natasha, "You'll get your answers, soon enough. Let the...wizard...do his work first." Nodding to me.

Throwing down the right incantations I used summoned a light tracking spell that would adhere to the assassin, her master and team, and the Joker. The latter of which was used using my vision portal spell that gave me a bird's eye view of the city. It was aflame with bodies strewn through the streets.

It was becoming too much. Seeing all the carnage made me lose my concentration and the portal closed, severing the link to the city as I collapsed onto a simple plastic chair. Kneeling beside me, Natasha reached over and touched my hand, "What is it?"

"I can't focus," I replied. "Concentration is the major factor in conjuring." I didn't want to sound weak, but I needed to rest as my mind was awash in thoughts that it felt cluttered.

Sybil headed to the city with group of men hoping the crowd would stay contained and civil, they seemed to be when she was there and maybe it was because she was the only one who would be quickest to kill no hesitation, she was even more violent then her master at times but she knew how to control her rage.

She watched then men and nodded thinking she picked a few good ones " This is not our world, things do not work rewprk the same, or look the same, we need no distractions, you three need to contain the clown and just the clown, my master is big , huge, but i know how to stop him, do not interfere and stay focused" she said sternly gripping the wheel tightly and gasped feelling the spell and could tell the other felt it too.

She didnt plan on using weapons on her master but would if necessary. She pulled up to the crime scene leaving the car at a screech seeing the chaos and parked it spotiing her master , then the clown " Get him, ill get splatter" she said before moving stealthily so she wasnt seen.

----Natasha

Natasha held the man the intense woman earlier had called the wizard hands. Everyone was scared, nervous and confused , including her, and him. She knew this was different, but she couldnt let things get out of hand.

" What do you need? Anything we can help with, you need to clear your mind" she offered " I know what you saw was bad but if the clown makes more people insane like that, it will be way harder to control and focus, take a deep breath" she said

"No problem, cher" said Gambit, smiling at her before she was out of sight. Then the smile dropped. 'No weapons, no cards? What's the point of being the dealer if you can't deal the deck? Still, I like her. I like a woman that has focus."

To speed up their movements, the men took to jumping from rooftop to rooftop. Below them they could see and smell the carnage, it was a bloody finger pointing to where the Joker was. They didn't even need the tracking spell. Reaching the bell tower of the Catholic church, they paused to survey the courtyard below. "I hate clowns. They're never funny," growled Gambit as his black and red eyes narrowed, there were several bodies, mutilated beyond description, pooled together to form a macabre image of a the Batman logo.

"Oh, Batsy! That's your cue! Come out, come out, wherever you are!" a cackle came from the ground nearby.

Pursing his lips, Gamit frowned, remembering the rules. No weapons. They had to take him alive. Then again, there was no telling what kind of power this twisted fiend possessed. "No sense diddling about around here any more! Let's git em!" Gambit yelled and jumped.

Natasha whispered into my ear to relax and I tried to do so, drawing a deep breath and letting it out as she held me in the front, her chest pressing against me. "Take a breath and look at me" when my eyes opened I was staring at her lovely green eyes and fiery red hair. "What can I do to help?" my eyes couldn't help but glance at her cleavage in her form fitting black suit.
