This is a special Thread devoted to the Infomation you don't want to know. The thread will spoil the story. please dont read if you are enjoying it. this is for people to give input about the Plots and Subplots and for people intrested in playing Natives. if your a player or a normal Reader please go to the OOC thread for rants and info.


i'ved had a hard time not scareing anyone about the natives. Every female i get intrested seems to get scared or confused when i bombard them with the Info about them. so i'm thinking I may need to rethink them entirlly. so i'm here posting all my back notes for feedback to um.. Modifey them to something women would like to play. This is the Thrid thread and info contained here may or maynot be included into the Real Story. Think of this as a Scrap book, brain storm area. SPOILERS everywhere.

Background on why all Female.

When a colony ship is setup everyone takes a DNA test. To Map out further generations. The first colonists have arranged pregnancies. Though the women can Marry whom ever they like they can only have children with the preselected men. Each offspring must be with another man. Each woman ideally would have one of each of the other men’s children. And it’s too costly to do this artificially. So a women can’t have sex with her Husband unless she’s already pregnant. Birth control Is discouraged during when they are trying to populate. All is mapped out for the First 3 Generations. One nice big tree kept by the doctors. After this Traditional Relationships develop and people just avoid close cousins much like ancient villages.

Terrain Space Colonist are a hardy bunch. In the top 20 % typically of what they do physically and Mentally, they are taller and smarter then the average general population. It’s an entirely Volunteer service. Once over a certain Population they are then able to send a representative to the Galactic Trade senate. Etc.. I can go on and out about all that crap later..

Well when accidents happen or Early Colonist die. There can be deficiency in the gene pool. No matter how well they try to prepare. In this case the accidents weren’t accidental. There was a psycho anti-male, estranged-slave, rape victim as one of the first. She flirted with the earlier men. Enticing them and eventually killed most off. When the colonist realized what happed she was caught tried and excelled. When they attempted to have her leave the planet, her ship crash-landed back on the planet. Leaving is very costly in the early years, the resources/power alloy the ship has on/takes with it. When she crashed she set her self up a camp and came back and not only killed the rest of the men she killed some of the women that were against her. Now more out of fear then anything the Remaining Colonist a few Doctors and Biologist/geneticist (Standard in colony crews). Got their heads together and threw shear luck perfected a way to Reproduce with two eggs.

This established a sort of cloning or straight Female Reproduction. The Original Phyco/bitch who they all just called The Mother. Had children with all the others. And the other’s mix matched with each other. Well part of the issue of the cloning is that there is an issue with the Chromosomes in the women’s so they can’t make man. Attempts to try result in disfigured persons. Now few Sterile Hermaphrodites were conceived but the same Chromosomes problem is there. And they are sterile and unable to carry children they can however find surrogate.

Here comes the Problem.. The Mother as we all know was a psycho maybe her hate towards men was justified but she was also a loony. Well She spread her self too far and the others too thin. Now whenever they look to engage two women they find the next generations will be unable to continue unless new DNA is found. They are currently making as much of the last generation as possible, but when the existing Mothers Metaphase all is lost.

Facts about the Women if you were to play.. She has a loony as an ancestor so at the very least she has an Obsessive-compulsive Disorder, Borderline, Bipolar, clinical Depression, Anxiety disorder. Something, not necessary hindering but most defiantly Colorful. The Society hates men. And needing them makes them hate them more. However like all Societies there are minorities and a few would love to have men back. A few Play with the Hermaphadies because they Crave non-lesbian sexual Pleasure. The society is Federal, a Head woman carries the Title Grand Mother, and relationships are all Master/Slave slave not always willing. Most are single and don’t seek intimacy. Think women’s Prison on a grander scale.

So to be one Daughters of Grand Mother as they call themselves. You want Sperm for either the Continuation of your way of life or. You want a Man really really bad because that’s what nature intended.

Silk, Steel, and Cotton are widely available to her.

Below is some of my ranting. Disregard as you see fit.

The kind of interactions I’m looking for from crash valley and the natives, are some friendships and abductions. Though some of the natives are nice decent persons the majority are Desperate, demented and deprived women. They my not necessary see her “Sisters” this way. And could innocently lead them into an unforeseen trap.

I figure up to the 6 generation is where it went bad however due to repetition and lack of historical Documentation no one really knows but the Grand Mother and it’s kind of privileged Information as well as the Natives total population. Your Characters village could be of any size you wish. .

The Natives are at an advanced Iron Age of Technology with left over technology here and there, but it’s not widely available, any non-complex mechanical and very limited electronics. Wide use of steel, and any things a Blacksmith could make. Nothing from an assembly line are available (however the natives are on the Verge of the first industrial plant in the largest town. Sense the wide use of steel and are about to start making more advanced alloys and a generation or two electronics. They have the knowledge just not the production yet.). A genetically advanced from of cotton and/or Silk would have been farmed and made available as well (lets say special Goats Milk silk). I’m thinking a Silk and Steel laden very tall athletic average to the colonist appearance, with any ethnic influence you’d like African, Asian, Celtic, Old English, Old-western just to name a few. Herbal and chemical knowledge would be very advanced.

About technology, this was a planed Colony. If travel to and from the planet were possible they would have full access to the galactic economy. However they don’t so they have all the things you’d think a very large Colony ship would have. Of course weight Is limited. Because of this, they were more focused on construction and Farming. Think old west, they come with their wagons and if they get built up enough more people arrive bringing more stuff. Problem is there was no seconded group (that we know of). Population would have to become very very large to start becoming industrialized, especially without proper government. The colonyship it’s self-may have a small electronics manufacturing plant. But the materials wound need to be replenished. hoever, everything needed to Repair something is easyily there. Semi-conductors and some advanced metals can’t just be made with out large factorys. Plastics are the truly hard one to come up with.

However, anything that arrived with the first ship that’s ‘Hi-tech’ would be available but there would be competition.

i need to know how to sum it up so women that want to play a colonist aren't discuraged with the amount of back ground.
