Do you have a favorite saying you'd like to share? Or maybe make up one of your own! I'll start:

ACTIONS speak louder than WORDS
And WORDS must be spoken to be HEARD! (the second half is mine)

My town calls mischief night (the night before Halloween) "goosey" night. No idea where that one came from.

Several I like...

"There's no such thing as a no-sale call."

"It is not the strongest of species that survive, nor the smartest; but those most able to change. When you've got it 'all figured out' you've consigned yourself to intellectual irrelevance."

"Words are an ocean, I'm a shark, and you can't even swim."

"Fear denies Faith."

"All men need help, from time to time; feeling entitled to it is cowardice."

One that a lot of conspiracy theorists need to learn and remember:

"Never ascribe to Malice to what can be explained by simple Stupdity." (or by simple incompetence.)

I like mine in verse form.

Our choicest plans
have fallen through,
our airiest castles
tumbled over,

because of lines
we neatly drew
and later neatly
stumbled over.

.....

The road to wisdom? -- Well, it's plain
and simple to express:
Err and err and err again
but less and less and less.

.....

Yes, life is a gamble;
but isn't it mean
that you're never the one
to win it,

when the thing is
a coin-in-the-slot machine,
and you did
put a shirt-button in it.

.....

Those who always
know what’s best
are
a universal pest.

Everything has to come from somewhere. Everything has to go somewhere. And there's no such a thing as a free lunch.

Hot corporate Desi booty. I think I'm the only one who's ever said that, but it described my old boss perfectly.

Also, nothing is sexier than a woman in a suit with a microphone. Another classic quote of mine.

I've been trying to popularize calling Robert Mugabe 'Blitler,' a contraction of 'black Hitler,' ever since I found out he idolized Hitler.

My gramps was fond of saying, "I'm so hungry I could eat the business end of a skunk." Pretty picture, huh?

"No matter where you go, there you are." (quoted from the movie Brazil)

"A stitch in time saves nine" - but do you know hardly anyone sews anymore? We've become a trash-making society!
