Last fall, Colly was debating on a political thread where neither side was budging nor conceding any points to the other. Most people would have walked away but not Colly. In a PM, one of my questions to her was why she kept posting to that thread. This was her answer.

Like others here, I have deleted PMs I wish I'd kept. I do however treasure the following that Colly wrote on my Hallowe'en contest entry, 'Be gentle with her', back in 2004.

Under the heading 'Never ventrued (sic!) to this cat', she wrote -

Sweet Alex. Poignant. Considering how much my first time left to be desired, I've never really cared for this cat. It's good to see something on lit that speaks to the heart rather than the gonads exclusively.

A fine effort.

If you would like a deeper critique, I will do it. If you would just like some guidance, I will do that too. If you just need a sounding board, I'm up for that too. I have a deep devotion to the craft, but I'm not about to risk trampling your feelings to expound upon it.
