Collared on Friday

Well, after a few weeks of looking for the right size and style, I decided upon the one I thought was best suited for her and I. It features an extra layer of smooth leather on the front to keep the end of the studs from digging into the skin and a dog-collar style D-ring in the back for a leash or chain. I'm very pleased with it, and she absolutely loves her gift. I don't have any pics yet of her wearing it yet, but hopefully soon.

If you don't like leather wearers than you're in the wrong place, since a good majority of the people here wear leather all the time, it's called 'fetish gear'. If what I say bothers people, that's their problem, not mine. And BDSM and leather don't necessarily go together, there are a lot of people that manage to have fun without innocent animals dying

Principles are great to uphold, but as you progress through life, unless you do it with a closed mind and eyes, you will discover a great many shades of grey to compliment your black and white world. I also am not big on the slaughter of animals but am also a realist.....there is nothing going to convince me I can get the same amount of pleasure from a PVC or other material whip that I get from a kangaroo leather one....and I will not eat kangaroo simply because I think they are unique and beautiful....and doctors have told me due to my medical problems that without a certain amount of red meat in my diet nothing is going to save me and I have come close enough to death because of that to not want to go there again.

Add to that the fact I imagine you do things everyday (like take a bus, ride in a car, buy goods packaged in plastic, fart, use plastic containers, dispose of rubbish....and the list goes on) which are causing irreparable damage to the environment which over time is going to make the stance against the slaughter of animals a moot point because there won't be an earth suitable to support either them or us. So see, there are countless issues people can have which demonstrate no-one is pure and without guilt in the bigger picture.

BTW O'Mac, congrats on the collar and the collaring and I hope it brings you both much pleasure and joy.

That doesn't work for me. I've been told the same thing, and I'm in the hospital quite a bit (I'm really really severely anemic), but I would rather die than have something die for me to live. I don't expect everyone to be vegan or even vegetarian (unless I'm dating them, then they don't get a choice), but I'm still going to tell people what I think on the subject. I just don't have any respect for people that don't at least consider the lives of creatures other than humans. Obviously I'm not going to able to avoid contributing to the eventual demise of the planet, but I can at least try, and encourage others to do the same.

haha the "You should be dead" thing was the funniest thing I've ever experienced, I've been through it too. I'm severely severely allergic to iron supplements, and because the anemia is "self inflicted" (I'm vegan and used to cut myself a lot, not anymore though) and our province is lacking blood, I can't get transfusions, hooray. But oh well. I don't step on ants either!!!! and I'm lame and move earth worms to the safety of my porch when it's raining so less will get crushed on the sidewalk. but oh well, I should make a new thread about this, my little leather comment seemed to take over his thread haha.

Hmmm, actually, I never really thought of that. Eventually I might consider it. As for right now though, we tend to keep what goes on in the bedroom relatively low-key.
