Coffee addiction

The first cup of coffee in the morning is the best.....it's truly one of my life's pleasure....its sad, I went from drugs, sex and rock and roll to caffiene, masturbation and ambient new age music...... Is this what getting older means?

My girlfriend loves coffee, but i CANT STAND IT!! I cant even stand kissing her after she has had coffee, it just tastes like burnt rubbish.
If i need a caffiene fix than thoes exergy drinks like V and Red Bull are nice, and give you a bigger kick than coffee.

good morning miss anna. i wish that had been the case. i tried cutting down, bought one of those four cup brewers that actually makes two "mugs". then i cut back to half of that. still got to me. it finally got to be not worth it.

there's a little deal called "cats" that if you give it all up you'll be healthy. c = caffeine, a=alcohol, t=tobacco, s=salt

i gave up cigs and coffee but they can just kiss my ass if i have to give up salt on my tequilla shot.

Hello my name is Dawn and I am addicted to coffee.

Boy-o-Boy, can I relate to that! I never used to like the stuff until I hit my 30's, then I became a certified coffee fiend. I've even been know to drink it before bed, it's almost as if I subconciously think of it as hot chocolate or chocolate milk. Often, late nite, you can find me perusing the speciality coffee isle at the local grocery, in search of my fix. Have you ever left a cup stting out over nite...and seen the residual in the bottom the next morning? I'm sure it's the sugar, but damn!.....I often worry about the possible effects on my teeth. I don't want to be "gumming" my food when I'm not so old and decrepit.

i bought a god coffee press....grind my beans....got some nice flavored syrups, like whole milk in it and one equal....go out on the deck in the morning...faces the woods.....and just chill with the first sip being the best..can't wait till tomorrow morning...

I just do three (big) cups...waking up......aroound 10.00 and then at 2:00, still can't sleep but it does give something to look forward to and has saved my stomache!

Ok, can someone please explain to me why people are so obsesssed with coffee???
I personally think it tastes terrible, so do people just like it for the taste or for what it does?
If you like it for what it does why not get an energy drink??

I get heyfever, a couple of years ago I went to my doctor to find out why the anti-histamines weren't working too well. My doctor ummm'd and errr'd and asked if I drink a lot of coffee as cafine can lessen the effects of anti-histamines.
He did a blood test and then told me I was physically (and psychologically) addicted to it!
Now this I have to believe is true. If I don't have any coffee for a day you'd better dart me with tranqs because, trust me, you DON'T want to have to deal with my mood!

He suggested I tried to cut down...

I've always had a serious caffeine addition, which is why I'm a huge Coca-Cola and Mountain Dew addict.

I used to drink lots of coffee but I've since cut back a little. However, I would never have any of that "brown water" (a.k.a Maxwell House) in my cabinets. The only coffee that I drink has to be New Orleans blend coffee with chicory. I'm so much of an addict that, when I am drinking coffee, I have to order it from a New Orleans company.

If Cafe DuMonde ever opened near a Starbucks, Starbucks would be history.
