Hiya all, talk about diving right in for my first post.. :)
I'm very interested in using a cockring for extending intercourse (my bf is slightly paranoid that he doesn't last long enough even though I think he's great), and also for orgasm deprivation (only for like an hour or so of oral and hand teasing). :p

I couldn't find much specific information on here where I did a search, so, I'd be hugely grateful to anyone who can help me with this! I read one thread with a few horror stories but I still have a few questions.

From what I've read, the adjustable cockrings are less dangerous than the non-adjustable ones coz they don't get stuck. Is this true?
How long is it ok to keep a cockring on before it gets dangerous? Is is possible to cum with a cockring on?
Do you wait until he's fully hard before you put it on?
How tight is too tight?
For the guys, how does it feel?
Any other information I may not have thought of?

Thanks heaps :)

Oh, and a final question which came up while I was browsing some "toy" sites...

Does the cockring normally just go around the cock and balls or just the cock?

Thanks again :)

Cock rings will help to keep or maintain an erection. You can cum when wearing one. Newver wear one for more than 20-30 minutes. They will not help for orgasm deprivation.

As Amfig stated, cockrings should only be used for a limited amount of time, and that is a good thing to keep in mind!

Do you understand how it is that a cockring works? That might help a good deal to begin with. The idea is that arteries that carry the blood throughout the penis are on the inside, and the veins that carry the blood away from the penis are on the outside. The theory behind a cockring is that it constricts the blood from leaving the penis.

Now, for some of your questions:

1. I am more inclined to use adjustable cockrings, especially if the man has never had one before. They do make some of leather that have snaps that can be easily taken off if the man begins to feel uncomfortable or starts to panic. I don't know of a ring getting "stuck", but it is possible if a man begins to panic and his blood starts pumping. In that type of situation, if he can remain calm, his penis should go soft and the ring should slide off.

2. As Amfig said, 20 - 30 minutes is the longest. And yes, a man can still orgasm with a cockring.

3. No, you do not wait until his fully hard - OUCH! As brought up by KinkyV, different cockrings go on differently. Some only sit at the base of a man's penis, others (most that I know of) sit behind the balls and penis, and there are some that go around the penis and balls, then around the penis, and around the balls. To put a cockring on, you have to gently (very gently!) push the balls through first, then push the penis through. I couldn't imagine doing this when a man is hard. Remember, the arteries that cause him to get hard are on the inside, away from the ring.

4. Sizes really don't vary all that much. Most quality toy stores (online and in catalogues) give you the dimensions of cockrings. You would want to measure while your partner is both flaccid and hard to get a proper determination. The ring should be tight enough to have a firm "grip", but not so tight that it causes pain. This is why one that is adjustable or has some sort of easy release (like the snaps mentioned above) would work best for those just starting out.

5. I'm not a guy, so I can't say. Men I've talked to who have tried them have liked them, though. Hopefully some of the guys here will open up and share!

enjoyment

i have found that a small strap, with a buckle for quick release, can help to acheive a very statisfying release, it does extend the period and can be very intense. As the cock is encouraged it becomes full of blood, and sometimes it can be painful if it is too tight. It makes the cock smaller because it is resricted, but the feeling is very intense, and satisfying. I use a strap on days when I am so sexually aroused and have to wank during the day 3 or 4 times, each time it becomes harder to cum, but the need is greater. The strap helps to acheive the desired effect.

I've had cockrings on before and I would definately say to use an adjustable one otherwise you're asking for pain. I'll never make that mistake again. No serious damage just a lot of unpleasurable unnecessary pain.

Yes I have worn one. It is adjustable. You have to do it when you are soft, slip behind the balls and cock and make sure it is snug but not tight or OUCH! Never go longer then 30 mins. Do not use the metal ones. You can get them with snaps, buckles or elastic but do not use the metal. IF it is too tight you can not a thing about it. Talk about PAIN!

Thank you all so much! That's exactly the kind of info I needed :D :D :D :D

I bought an adjustable one, so now we just have to wait (im)patiently for it to get here :) Oh well, if anticipation is half the fun, we'll be having a blast ;)

Dont leave it on for to long, and enjoy. I use mine when I have had an extreme amount of sexual activity and need to discharge again. I need that feeling, the sensations as the pleasure surges through me, my head banging, my heart thumping, my breathing in gasps, gasping for air, my whole body shaking, I tingle, I shout, I some times cry, the pleasure is so fantastic. When I discharge, I smile as if it was the first time all over again.
I enjoy that feeling alone or with my lover. :nana: :nana:
