What is the correct spelling of this so important subject? I've written over 200 stories and still, every time I come to this word, I wonder if there is even a correct spelling of it. It would be nice to know (if there is really a correct spelling or if everyone it on their own, more or less). I'm sure, somewhere out there in literoticaspace, there is an English lit person who knows...

Thought it was cokehead, which is in the dictionary so I'd go with 'cockhead'.

Well, I usually go with 'cockhead'. I figure since 'dickhead' is one word, it's a reasonable substitution.

I just love the thread title. :D

I don't think I've ever put the words together in that way.

"The head of his cock" I've used.

I wouldn't think the hyphens would be correct, though. Where's Weird Harold?

Yes. Me too.

When you're not sure, substitute. :)

Whenever I see it with a hyphen, it makes picture something that is a cock and a head at the same time  (Since hyphens primarily indicate something having both qualities)

Is it smiling?

I always spell it as one word, cockhead. I've told Spellcheck to just learn it and shut up-- Who's the boss here, I mean!

Or ender.

Sorry, love, got to go. I've got this cock on my head.
But just imagine the fun you could have if you were a tall girl ;)

That's what I did too. It liked 'dickhead' just fine, but not 'cockhead'. What? 'Cock' to vulgar to get a head?

On a side note, this is a rough diagram of what cock-head brings to mind:

Cockhead: The rounded or pointed top of a grinding mill spindle, forming a pivot on which the stone is balanced.

That's the dictionary definition. But that's what I'd used for the head of a cock as well. Just looks right to me. The Urban Dictionary has "Cock head" but that's for someone who is being a "dick head" not as a reference to the head of a cock.

Who the fuck would say; "You stupid cock head!" when they meant "You stupid dickhead!"

No urbanite I know, that's for sure!

Any way you slice it, the spelling is funny. I think I've used 'cockhead' when describing the helmet, in stories.

"Help?? Is it cock head or cock-head?" <-- what goes on in Literotica Author's mind

Thanks...

Well, if I wasn't confused before...I am now!

But thanks for all the replies...

Maybe I just ought to call it that big, round thang on the end of that other big round thang...
