I wear a cage with a tube and have been sounded and it’s not the same. The tube makes it so much better to pee and is cleaner. They are a little more maintenance but well worth it. No spray no drip I can pee standing up.

Anything is possible. If your prone to UTIs I don’t know if I’d suggest one but I’ve had no issues. I don’t know about significant risk. Doctors leave catheters in for extended periods of time.

I can understand your concern. quality is a must. Nothing plated. Mine is fixed at the tip of the cage so there isn’t really any movement.

You can get an infection. The tissue is fragile and you can actually push through the wall of the urethra. there is a lot of information out there so you can do it safely. Using the correct type a lube helps out.

Ive never been sounded while caged. I do wear a cage with a urethral tube but it’s not for sounding. To me they are two different things.

I agree, two different things, except that both involve urethral insertion. I stumbled across sounding years ago and have had a minor obsession with (safe) insertion since then.

I have enjoyed wearing short stainless steel penis plugs for all-day wear while caged. I'm not into stretching my urethra, but one of the plugs I bought was a bit of a challenge to get inserted gently. One day it finally popped into place and I wore it all day. I loved that. I have thought that too. That over time it could loosen. They seem to be well made but they also have an alternative. They make a one piece tube to use instead. The thing I don’t like is it doesn’t have a cap so you still have drip which is one of the reasons I went with the tube.
