it was a few days ago now and CNN have now "fixed" their story but google saves a cache of their website as of feb 14 showing the day the transcript was posted with the missing part

I'd hate to generalise, but American media is all about propaganda. Even the American media themselves have admitted to it. It's no secret anymore...you just can't believe what comes out of the US. The only news that's important to me is local news, at least that's something I have a chance of verifying myself. For the longest time I didn't even believe the World Trade Towers were actually down...just thought it was more propaganda (until a friend of mine, who I trust, visited NYC). Even then, I still think that whole fiasco was set up by the govenment anyway. To the US govenment (or whatever organisation that runs the US), we are all expendible...why not kill thousands of Americans, it's an excuse to go to war against "terrorists" when if fact Americans themselves are terrorists by definition.

The media no longer whas to be truthful or credible (that damned word again). They just have to spew what they tell people they want to see or hear anymore. Sometimes there's too much freedom of press in this country, sometimes not enough.

Don't forget to mention that Iraq refused to allow journalists to report stories from areas under their control until they journalists first posted stories following the Iraqi government line.

Thank god we have propaganda free media in other countries..like China, Iraq, Taliban held Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc.

I can almost understand the thinking of those people who say the "Amerikkkan" government was behind 9/11, but you can't just play David Copperfield with the two tallest buildings in the Eastern Time Zone and expect people to believe it. That's just goofy.

Furthermore, you can tell that the "edited" part of the CNN website was clearly an editing error. If they had meant to purposely doctor Blix's testimony, they would have left other phrases out as well, notably this:

"The reported movement of munitions at the site could just as easily have been a routine activity as a movement of proscribed munitions in anticipation of an imminent inspection."

which came immediately following the missing portion.

And if someone at CNN honestly attempted to selectively edit Blix's speech, how did they honestly think they could get away with it? There's a difference between human error and deliberate deception, and if this is all the evidence of the latter we'll get, then their entire cause is laughable.
