"Making excuses for genocide" is one of the primary reasons this thread this thread.
Over half the replies here are variations on the "Israel is not to blame because...." and/or "You can't call this 'genocide' because...." talking points.

Welp, maybe a case could be made if 10/7 hadn’t happened, and the Hamas animals hadn’t subsequently used civilians as human shields, and hadn’t used hospitals and schools as bases of operations, and hadn’t stolen aid shipments, and hadn’t attacked aid corridors, and…

And I suppose the fact that the Palestinian population in Gaza and the West Bank (Palestine?) having increased TEN FOLD in the decades since Israel came into existence is a pretty solid argument against genocide…
