On a positive note the Israeli military command has given orders that Israeli ground troops may no longer use mosque minaret loudspeakers (the ones used to call the faithful to prayer) to play Israeli top 40 dance songs. Bad optics, y'know?
 
Breaking News: Hamas has officially signed the Egyptian-brokered Gaza Ceasefire Agreement this afternoon.

Eyes now turn to see if Israeli War Minister will permit Netanyahu to sign the agreement for Israel.

I sincerely doubt Israel will sign.

Bs. Neither Israeli or US was aware of this ceasefire until this morning.
Idf will be going into Gaza, various members of Hamas will do/say anything to stop it.

I posted about US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken's comments about the proposal waaaay back on April 29th.
Post 4910.

He was urging Israel to look at the proposal back then. I remarked how the Israelis were going to Egypt to review the proposal.

So your "unaware of this ceasefire" kneejerk response is a G-d damned lie.

To be fair, the LATEST ceasefire "agreement" that HAMAS negotiated with Egypt - Qatar, was NOT agreed to by the U.S. and Israel.

The long overdue removal of Hamas from Rafah has begun. Hamas can no longer rely on the Biden Administration to stop it or drag out futile negotiations. It remains to be seen how Biden responds but Israel isn’t asking for permission. And they suspect the administration will get on board. “This Administration never supports anything we do until we do it” as one senior Israeli official told the WSJ.

As long as Israel provides access to aid, they won't be breaking US law in regards to funding. The problem has been constant obstruction of aid.

In that law, there is no side.

Why should they sign? It would leave two battalions of Hamas fighters to live and celebrate another October 7th. They need to be defeated in detail and then this will be over.
