Sorry, Dribbs, but if there weree a significant number of Palestinians in Gaza who had a shred of humanity and opposed Hamas, they would have told anyone who would listen the precise time and location of the impending attack, and they would currently be assisting the IDF in freeing the hostages and capturing the terrorists. - Gaza is looking a whole lot like Sodom and Gamorrah; lacking enough decent human beings to save itself from annihilation.

Sadly, Hamas likely felt emboldened by the antisemitism of both the extreme far right and the extreme far left in the western world, and by the dysfunction and isolationist bent in the "republican" party, and decided it was the perfect opportunity to do something so outrageous and inflammatory, that Israel would be obligated to respond with extreme prejudice, which would potentially trigger a wider conflict around the world. - The call for a global day of rage supports the theory that the heinous atrocities particular to the cowardly Hamas attack were premeditated, in anticipation that they would "trigger" something bigger.
Fortunately, the global day of rage hasn’t currently led to more than a handful of violent sympathy attacks to my knowledge; which is surely disappointing to the architects of the heinous, murderous, cowardly Hamas attack.
The Israeli’s sure seem enraged, however, and their wholly justified response has resulted in those super tough Hamas fighters and their supporters crying for mercy.
Honestly, I had some sympathy for the Palestinian’s plight BEFORE the heinous, murderous, cowardly Hamas attack, but now… not so much.
From the river to the sea, Palestine is dead to me.
