Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Friday after meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken that there was no alternative to an attack in Rafah, and that Israel was prepared to do so without U.S. support.

While thanking Blinken for American help thus far, and while sharing his concern for civilians in Gaza, Netanyahu said that “we have no way to defeat Hamas without going into Rafah and eliminating the rest of the battalions there. And I told him that I hope we will do it with the support of the U.S., but if we need to, we will do it alone.”

National survival is more important than Joe's poll numbers among America's Nazis.

The hand-wringer's and terrorist sympathizer's are having a hard time accepting the fact that Gaza is going cease to exist as a political entity. And no nation in the Arab world is going to morn the passing.

That is so damn true. Nobody in the Middle East wants these Dark Age mongrels within their borders.

We're already supporting them by providing almost all the weapons they will be using there if they decide to go in

Russia wasn't happy with amendments to the text, though the resolution passed. The US abstained.. perhaps expected.

I doubt either party will adhere to the resolution.

Israel-Gaza live: UN security council passes resolution calling for immediate ceasefire, as US abstains

The United States of America served notice on the murderous Israeli regime that it will no longer condone Israel's horrible ethnic cleansing in Gaza.

Israel has done the impossible: alienated its ONE steadfast ally in the world.

Well done, Israel. You have truly and utterly 'screwed the pooch' on this one.

Dropping buildings on daycare infants, carving Star of David on prisoners backs and looting panty drawers of Gazan women (and livestreaming the looting) has consequences. Who knew?

Pissy Netanyahu has recalled the Israeli delegation to the UN back to Israel.

That's hyperbolic. The US abstained from the vote. The US is focused on getting aid to Palestinians and are being blocked - that, I believe, is the primary concern.

The rest is political.

To my knowledge, the United States of America has routinely voted against any resolution even vaguely critical of Israel for over 50 years.

Abstaining represents a monumental shift in American policy.

Israel's ability to arbitrarily and willfully ignore the United Nations is now over.

Israel will need to behave according to international norms or suffer consequences.

Long overdue in my opinion.

Can you recall a SINGLE instance where the USA has sided with the world AGAINST Israel?
I cannot.

Even when the Israeli Navy sunk the USS Liberty back in 1967, America didn't vote to censure Israel

I never said it wasn't an unusual vote, historically. I just think you're really overstating the US position..... Who are poised to send $3 billion to Israel in the omnibus bil about to be signed.

Israel Ethnic Cleansing Force has now killed 560 Gazans queued up for food relief.

Ethnic Cleansing at its finest.

They're not even trying to rationalize their murderous rampages any longer.

America should deliver a JDAM "Bunker Buster" bomb to Gaza for every 500 casualties to even the playing field.

Perhaps a few leveled Israeli cities might show these murderers the benefits of a ceasefire.
A simple search of the ownership and management of the source:

Middle East Eye, a UK-based news website that covers the Middle East and North Africa, was launched in April 2014. However, its ownership remains opaque. Formally, it is owned by a company called M.E.E. Limited, with a lone director named Jamal Bessasso. Interestingly, Bessasso is not explicitly specified as the owner1. The website’s editor-in-chief is David Hearst, a former foreign lead writer for The Guardian1.
Critics have speculated about Middle East Eye’s origins. Some suggest that it emerged in London when the influence of Al Jazeera was waning in 2013. Several Al Jazeera journalists reportedly joined its team, and Jonathan Powell, a senior executive at Al Jazeera, served as a consultant ahead of its launch. Notably, Jamal Bassasso, a Kuwait-born Palestinian residing in London, was the sole director of Middle East Eye’s parent company, MEE Ltd. Bassasso had previously been a director for the registered agent of Hamas-controlled Al-Quds TV1.

While some claim that Middle East Eye is backed by Qatar, the website has denied this, asserting its independence and lack of funding from any specific country or movement. Nevertheless, governments such as Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, and Bahrain have accused Middle East Eye of pro-Muslim Brotherhood bias and receiving Qatari funding. These accusations intensified following the Saudi-led blockade of Qatar1.
In summary, Middle East Eye remains an enigmatic news outlet, and its ownership continues to be a subject of speculation and debate1.

The $3 billion is a testament to the power of AIPAC.

AIPAC funnels tons of money to Congress, Democrats and Republicans alike. Until very recently, it was "easy money", just vote for Israel (or against Israel's enemies) and get paid.

I wonder if this system, which has survived basically intact for over 30 years, will continue?

More and more people seem to realize that this is actually "blood money".

I don't really see our position shifting as dramatically as you seem to think. Perhaps I'm wrong.

Lonely Israeli Ethnic Cleansing Force Is Increasingly Turning To Gazan "Comfort Women" (i.e. Sexual Slaves) For Sexual Release

(Unlike Israeli Women, Gazan Women Can Be Forced To Swallow Cum)
Yah, at this point I believe that story of rape at the hospital(as Laz (and bB) brought up) called into question and has been retracted by the original reporters)

I'd question it's legitimacy at this point.
