Details about the Plague:
- Believed to have originated in Europe.
- Verified in the US Day 1 of RP.
- Cities on Independence's course shut down immediately.
Day 1:
- 80 of the 130 aboard demanded to be disembarked. (60 of 100 passengers; 20 of 30 crew).
- Captain Penny Howard agreed.
- All passengers and those crew departing were restricted to their staterooms for social distancing.
- Those Crew remaining limited their movement.
- Penny Howard needed to look for signs of the plague onboard.
Day 2:
- A Coast Guard cutter pulled along side for the transfer of those leaving.
- The Coast Guard Captain -- a former lover of Penny Howard -- transferred as much food, water, and other supplies to the Independence as he could.
- Social distancing continued.
- Introducing passenger Peter Douglas, who is a gun runner. (See #2)
- Independence headed out to sea, with Penny Howard fearing they might run into trouble if they stayed within sight of shore.
