And yet, in 2016, there were verified reports of numerous instances of voter intimidation in several states along with a concerted effort by Republicans to make voting as difficult as possible in minority areas by limiting voting times and number of polling places.

Oddly, in majority white areas, they were given extra days of early voting and plenty of places to vote.

I'd list the multiple events described, but you wouldn't read it any way.

And these bogus claims of turning people away! We had the highest turnout of any election I believe including record numbers for all races. The polls stayed open as late as they could to allow all who showed up the right to vote. This on top of a record number of early voters. Those who wanted to vote could!

BTW... I reluctantly voted for Clinton because I didn't really like either candidate. I felt Trump would be too much of a loose cannon even though I liked more of his ideas overall. I try to vote candidate, not party. That's getting harder to do the way candidates are now churned out to by computers, money and greed and much less on innovative ideas and actual accomplishments.

Thx! I should clarify I suspect not everyone who wanted to vote legally could. I believe those who could legally vote were able to vote and their vote counted. Lack of valid ID and non-residents trying to vote were two possible reasons for not being able to vote from what I've heard and read.
