Newt throws a strike while playing bowling with midgets:
Gingrich Destroys Reich: ‘Every Major City Which Is A Center Of Poverty Is Run By Democrats’By Brian Carey on December 15, 2013
Wow. We haven’t seen this side of Newt Gingrich since the Republican primary debates of last year.
We say that it’s long overdue.
Today on This Week With George Stephanopoulos (he was missing today), former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich appeared on the weekly panel to discuss a variety of issues. One of those issues was the Pope’s recent statements on the subject of income inequality. That came up because the nearly non-existent Time Magazine named the Pope its “Man Of The Year”.
Specifically, Gingrich was asked about income inequality in New York City and if Republicans should be talking about it.
“Absolutely,” Gingrich replied. “I mean, how can you justify the level of wealth in those big towers in New York City and the level of poverty in those alleys. And, without talking about government, say ‘Surely a society that believes that every person who was endowed by their Creator with the right to pursue happiness, would come up with a better solution than 22,000 children that are homeless."
Gingrich went on to say that, after 50 years of the so-called “War on Paverty”, government hasn’t done a very good job. That didn’t sit too well with other (read: liberal) members of the panel, including Bill Clinton’s former Labor Secretary Robert Reich.
Reich, unsurprisingly, rattled off a bunch of left-wing talking points before getting to his awfully predictable conclusion: it’s the fault of the Republicans that the “War on Poverty” isn’t doing better.
“This is baloney,” Gingrich replied. “Every major city which is a center of poverty is run by Democrats. Every major city.”
Ouch!

Rural poverty is worse than urban poverty.
...
Blue States however aren't going down that same route and Republicans still vote against measures that would help fix things. Why don't you just own it and stick with what you really think. Those kids should have been swallowed and the rest is just bad choices.
If Republicans voted for the things the Left believes in we would soon turn into a paradise like Cuba or the USSR.
I can't stand that sawed-off socialist dipshit. Newt exposed him for being a fool. If The Hildabesat wins in 2016 we can expect him to be a Cabinet member.
And this time, they'll get Socialism right...

Hillary is the magic answer.
Anyone with an ounce of common sense would know that it would take time to fix all that, a lot of time……….and even more time if every single thing attempted is delay/thwarted mainly for political gain rather than the good of the country.
None-the-less you're better off in the middle than at the start.
Woof!
We're going to find out soon enough.
She was a lock last time too...

Maybe they think she can fix the actual implementation of HillaryCare as executed by Barack.
Since the Dems don't have another black man to replace The Fraud, they'll elect the first woman to the White House instead. That's called Liberal Logic. They're all about "firsts."
Whatever happened to the magic of compromise that the Left is always preaching where nobody ever totally gets what they want?
The good of the country? Or the establishment of a welfare state regardless of the economic cost. Those wars you keep going on about cost a helluva lot less than the cost of all the social programs foisted upon us, which incidentally, are always run on a loss basis. None of them are solvent and all will require more and more taxation.
Then you run out of Middle Class, for they bear the brunt of all taxation and you end up with a two-tiered socialism where there are only winners and losers; nothing better off or even left in the middle, like the road we are on, things in the middle tend to end up as roadkill.

Compromise is only ever possible when both sides are prepared to do that. (1)
Here comes that scary kitten again!
Foisted? How many elections, votes in both houses and judicial votes have there been on this topic exactly?
And there we see what democracy and compromise means to you. (1)
It’s Darwinian capitalism…..the strong survive and prosper, the weak end up as road kill.
(2)
In socialist states, as you view them, like Germany, there middle class is alive, well and prosperous. How does that fit in the narrative?
(3)
Woof!
(1) Don't tell us how to hold the mop. That's nice Eric but we won. We don't have to compromise, we can pass this bill without a single Republican vote.
(2) No such thing. Big Scary Kitty.
(3) Because they realized that they had to swing back towards Capitalism. That was the outcome and the economic lesson of that whole East-West Germany thing. The debate over the two systems was fought out and Socialism lost and lost badly by trying to provide things like free health care and full employment complete with minimum wages. You keep arguing for the fantasy while ignoring the reality.
