Hello fellow Lit readers and writers....

I am going to be in Cleveland in 2 weeks on business and I was wondering if anyone new of any places that are a must see. I have heard The Flats area is pretty cool. I am looking for some good food and some good adult entertainment.

Any suggestions would be great...Thx

Definitely the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, YES! I think they have put together a tribute to George Harrison, also.

The Flats are very nice, but check the weather before you come so that you are prepared just in case it gets cold here. The Flats are along the Cuyahoga River. The boats actually can dock and the people just come right on the walkway and into the bars and restaurants. It's lots of fun.

You also have The Football Hall of Fame in Canton. It's not that long of a ride from Cleveland if you're interested in football.

The Great Lakes Science Center is a fun place to walk through if you have the time. Also, just walking through the city is fun and along Lake Erie near Burke Lakefront Airport. There is also the Steamship Mather you can take a tour of and a neat restaurant right there, also. That is such a beautiful area when the weather is beautiful. I've gone there many times.

Right now, my mind is drawing a blank but if I think of more for you, I'll post back here again later.

Enjoy your trip.

All good suggestions enchanted! Problem for me is I live here and forget what a variety of things there are to do! His biggest problem is he's coming in the winter. No telling what to expect, it's been nice here so far, actually 71F yesterday an all time record for December! It could be zero in two weeks with the ever popular "Lake effect snow".

Yep, plasticman, that is oh, so true. I can remember the first year I moved here....we had the record lows - 21 below zero. That was not the wind chill, that was the real temperature. I believe it lasted for about 3 or 4 days in a row. The schools were all closed for the entire week.

Then there were the record snows I was lucky enough to be involved in. I think that was 121 inches or so if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, one day it's 70 degrees then, wham.....it's snowing and blistery cold. Cleveland....there's nothing like it in the winter.

I would have suggested the Art Museum, which is a personal favorite of mine, but I'm not sure that's what he had in mind.

Enjoy your day. Nice to meet you.

Plasticman and Enchanted....

Thanks for your replies...they are some great suggestions.

Unfortunately I am used to the wonderful weather up here in the north because I am from Michigan. We too get the woderful 60 degrees yestreday - 40 today.

The old saying Don't like the weather - wait 5 minutes - it will change.

I am going to be there from monday - thursday morning and will be working during the day so most of the time I will be looking for something to do will be at night.

Well, I'll be darned, learn something new everyday! I didn't know you were in Cleveland...or Ohio for that matter. I really should read that stuff under peoples av's! :D

I'm in Cincinnati, which is a whole other world as far as the weather is concerned. I don't get even 1/10th of the snow you get. I'm not complaining tho...lol...I like one good snowfall a year, after that I don't need anymore!

Sorry, StiffOne, the only stuff I know in Cleveland has already been said. If you swing down to Cincy I could tell ya! :)

You dont wanna ask me. I'm not much fond of Cleveland.....Sorry
