Does anyone else find that certain pieces of music....classical in particular, brings on a feeling similar to orgasm?.....

I can feel it start in my chest...my breathing becomes slightly labored, my chest feels like it expands, my legs slart to tighten and clench, my calves first and finally my thighs squeeze...my stomach also gets that aching and i want to move my hips..( i guess that would be a faux pas while attending a live performance.) :) ....i sometimes come close to an orgasm, but have never climaxed.

There are particular pieces : Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto no. 2, Mozart's Symphony # 40, parts of Beethoven's 9th, and Sonata "Pathetiique"....etc .ect..., that affect me in particular.

Anyone else experience this, and what pieces of music affect you ?

These are my favorites....
Rachmaninoff's 3rd piano concerto cadenza
Carmina Burana by Carl Orff
Revolutionary Etude by Chopin

I've been listening to Renée Fleming a lot lately. Her voice makes me tingle. Does that count?

Of course that counts!!!

Try Emma Shapplin...her voice turns me on!

My two faves

Rach's Piano Concerto #2

And

Mussorgky's Pictures at and Exhibition.

Wow, I must say, I'm surprised at how many Rachmaninoff fans there are on this board. Not just on this thread (which doesn't have too many posts yet), but the board overall.

Just an observation...

yes, a tingle defintiely counts......

there's is a lot of passion in opera......i like Carmina Burana too....
lots of drama and anticipation in the music....it just played here in Philadelphia .....( i didn't see it)...

MMM.....forgot to mention Puccini....his music is big turnon..

Miss Taken - I adore the 2nd movement of the Rach....by the time the single flute plays at the beginning of the movements my chest is tight.......mm......either that or it moves me to tears....

Count me as a Rach fan too, although the Rhapsody Op. 43 does more for me than the concertos.

is that the Rhapsody on a theme of Pagannini one...??? I love that too........!!
