I recently recieved a wonderful letter, and when paired with Chopin's Nocturne in E flat major, sent me into a powerful orgasm.

I'm wondering who else enjoys some Classical playing while you do.

Our favorite classical "lovemaking song" is Bolero. How can you go wrong?

While you do...

what? :D

I'm a big fan of the classical music. Bolero's always a popular selection. The Rite of Spring might be a little dissonant for some people, but it's also very sensual. There's so much good stuff out there, you could do it to a different piece every time. Anybody ever try putting on Beethoven's Fifth and matching the rhythm?

P.S. - this is my first post. Woo hoo!

And on my thread? Congrats, and welcome to the Lit world :)

lol - I don't know if B's 5th would do it for me, but Pastoral is fabulous, too.

the four seasons and copelins rodea do it for me. god and horses know why.

Another excellent choice

The local classical station played that just the other day. Great piece for when you're in heavy traffic as I was. Gotta keep both hands on the wheel though. ;)

please don't tell me "air violin".

Excellent pieces, all and cg!

Although, this piece isn't *classical*, it makes me want to have a completely down and dirty fuckfest: 'Clubbed to death' off of the Matrix soundtrack. It mixes a beautiful piano solo with some very heavy electric track. I love it.

Bottom of the 5th

Well, I guess what I had in mind was a two person exercise. It's a pretty muscular, forceful piece. The second movement is nice though. The fourth movement always gets my blood pumping too!

I enjoy some of the more non-mainstream pieces.

Elgar's "Enigma Variations"
Holst's "The Planets" - especially "Mars" and "Jupiter".
Debussey is great general mood music. The Impressionist compsers are great for evoking mood and mental images, especially sensual ones (try "Afternoon of a Faun").

for the more visceral music, Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring" is basically a primitive orgy set to music. There are lots of Bacchanalias out there in short for you can find pretty easily. :)

Then again, music is fundamental to any sensual experiences I have, for the most part.

I haven't heard just the soundtrack, and I can't seem to remember where that was in the movie. But if it has that effect on you, celiaKitten, I may have to stop at Tower later this evening.

Ravel's Tzigane always makes me at least a little horny. Bartok's Romanian dances do it to me too. There's something about that gypsy music...
A lot of Chopin's preludes turn me on, too. Never actually done the act, or even masturbated, to classical music, though.
I'd feel like Alex from A Clockwork Orange.

 you have "Enigma Variations?" I've been looking for that! I adore that!

And, I agree, music is just a *part* of me. Combining it with anything else just makes it so much more powerful.

That's two for "Rite of Spring." I like your taste JMJ.

It seriously makes me think of this:

It's daytime in a sparcely furnished bedroom. The windows are covered in thick blankets in an attempt to block out the light, leaving a thin glowing frame around them. I'm standing over someone who is lying on the bed. I'm dressed in black vinyl boots, corset.

In the soft piano solos, it's tender, slow, yet still intense. The rest is all me, dominant and sexual.

So - yes, get the song!:D

Well, now I have buy the album.

Tell me more about the "someone who is lying on the bed." I have a feeling it may be me when I'm listening to it tonight.

Couldn't tell you much about the person on the bed other than the fact that I'm performing for them, in a way. This whole image (to me) is more about myself, and my own sexuality, I suppose.

For the romance, Chopin nocturnes or Piazzolla tango nuevos.

For the sex, rhythm is the key. Try Strauss Sr.'s Radetsky March, and slap along.

Funny you should mention the Radetsky March. I had a frat brother who always did it to The Stars and Stripes. Any time we heard that, we knew what was going on. Sort of had a Pavlov effect after a while. LOL.

Question

Believe it or not, in Mediterranean countries the accordion is, or was, considered the instrument of LOVE. Now the accordion doesn't really do it for me. However, I find the dusky, velvety sound of the horn does.

What's your favorite instrument?

Only song I had sex to was "Shakled" by vertical Horizons.

but I will try clasical music next time Kitty ;)

I'm biased - I love the bassoon and sax :)

I can't say that I have a favorite, necessarily. I love wind instruments over stings, though.

I think the accordion can still enthrall the romantic soul. Piazzolla played and wrote for it (actually a bandoneon, the accordion's big brother). The sound of a saxophone is related, and does the trick too.

Personally, I can't decide on a favorite. Violin, cello, English horn, piano, clarinet, flute, guitar, oboe, take your pick.
