Clarification needed about removing published stories

It's been a while since I've done this, but I checked the FAQ. It used to be that the word DELETE was supposed to be in the title box, but now it's been charged to REMOVE.

So the submission text box only contains the the story URL. Does anything go in the short description, tag, or category boxes? I feel like I'm missing something here based on what I remember from a long time ago.

I put in the title with DELETE (or remove, now), the first few lines of the story, the description line, category and language. Most importantly, I included a note to administrator specifically stating I wanted the story to be removed and “Thank you.”
Expect to wait at least a week, usually longer.

I basically did what Trionyx did a year or so ago. The process is probably manual, so I guess it doesn't matter if you use delete or remove.. Might be a good reason, but the effect is the same.

Don't think so. Just put a Note to the Editor, confirming which story you're taking down. Remember, it's permanent - the site purges the story completely.

Thanks, I have deleted a couple of others over the years. I sent this one in yesterday, so I assume it will be pending for a while.

Thanks, for years it was DELETE, but the most recent FAQ lists it as REMOVE. I think they'll get the idea.
