I don't give a shit. Thomas seems to be one of the few trying to keep the Constitution coherent, and having read his opinions, he's a solid jurist. I think he's better even than Scalia, although it looks like Alito is catching up too.

I think it's the other way around: it is a disadvantage to be poor, at least in criminal trials. Public defenders vary widely in quality.
