Clare Hollingsworth - a remarkable woman, a remarkable life, remarkably lived.

A real survivor. Considering where she went and what she did it is remarkable that she survived so many war zones.

Many expected her to be remembered here, the memorial in Bayeux, France for journalists killed doing their duty to provide news:

But she lived to tell so many stories.

RIP. Did not know of her. Must have been a cool life. Scooping the Nazi invasion of Poland. And apparently getting info even before the border was crossed.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I'm only peripherally aware of her work.
Ms. Hollingworth is a biography to be read, and soon.

Thanks for posting!
