Dralion (one of the traveling Cirques) was in town last night, so we checked it out. I knew it would be cool, but I didn't expect it to be as cool as it was. Anyone else seen Cirque du Soleil? Like it/not? Favorite parts? I liked the 'clowns', the juggler dude, and the hoop jumpers.

I saw the imax thing they had but to tell you the truth I fell asleep during it. I want to see it if it ever comes to San Francisco or to LA when I move down there.

Love the Cirque. I even loved them at the Oscars.

Hey, Laurel, buddy, pal, I still can't log on as "Dixon Carter Lee" since I went and changed that info in my profile. Is the site feeling better now?

Never live. Only telecast. I rather enjoy it. Fun and artfully presented.

I love the contortionists.

I saw 'Alegria' in Vienna 4 years ago. Unfortunately I missed one of their shows two years ago because I was working abroad. I'm going to see 'Saltimbanco' in July though.
I love the Cirque... it is an absolutely enchanting experience and worth every penny. :)

Halo :rose:

I have heard it is amazing and I would love to go but it never seems to tour near here.......maybe I will have to travel to it.....

.

Dixon honeychild, I think your account is fixed now. Try logging in and let me know.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've seen them on TV and such, but live is a totally different ball of wax.

The Cirque was a lot of fun. Not snooty, just fun. I was surprised. I laughed a LOT, and gasped, and enjoyed myself.

Can you beleive that they come from my town and I've never seen any of their show!!! but a lot of poeple in Quebec have seen them, we always had the new show before others too. The last one they create this spring is name Varekai.

I love Cirque du Soleil! When Monk and I go to Vegas later this summer, we're going to go see them. I became enamored with them a few years back when HBO was showing them on TV. I love the music, too. Wow!

Cirque is incredible! I've seen the show here La Nouba a couple times and have had the fortunate experience of watching from the booth and seeing backstage world. (Of course that may only be cool for a theater tech-head like me)

I really really very badly want to see Mystere and O! in Vegas. I have a friend working on O! and have read many articles about the amazing feats of that show. Many of my friends who have seen several Cirque's and a couple who have been on tour with them all say that O! is by far the most amazing show ever!

I saw Dralion a couple of weeks ago in Del Mar. It was excellent. We took students from my school and they were impressed. It was a real treat! It was the first time I had seen it live. Just awesome.

Cirque has two productions here in Las Vegas

Mystere at Treasure Island (wonderful show)

and O at Bellagio which I have not seen but want to...

they are amazing artists...

Cirque du Soleil is probably one of the most amazing troupes to ever grace the stage. They are innovative, breathtaking, beautiful, and always provoking. If anyone ever has the opportunity to go, they must! HBO (I think) put out one of their earlier productions a few years ago, and even on tape, they are phenominal.
