circumcision...ugh

Oh sure, blame it on the mother. Like there have been absolutely no fathers who have ever requested circumcision for their sons.

Oh, I know. I don't think women are solely or mostly responsible for the practice. It's just that the bizarrely violent opinions about normal male anatomy in this particular thread have been expressed mostly by a small handful of women.

I can now see why this thread has continued going like it has, it's full of madness.
Exactly. Madness, obsession, insanity. Funny thing is, he thinks the whole country is crazy, and he's the only sane one. Well, now that I think about that, it is actually not beyond the realm of possibility, except of course that it's not. In fact it is I who am the only sane one.

Madness? I don't know what you're talking about.

Right, I'm off to sleep now!

Oh, heavens, I'm not interested in his foreskin. I don't even know the guy, er, foetus.

I am interested in and repulsed by the bizarre maternal psychology of the practice...there seems to be this weird Oedipal thing going when certain women (not you) have a peculiarly strong interest in the sexual and aesthetic qualities of their sons' penises, even though (I hope) that they will never put said organ to any use.

At the core, I think maybe it's a new parent's hope that their child will be the most perfect baby on the planet. Fretting over every aspect. But, it is such a strange practice ... makes me wonder how they came up with the idea. Who was the guy who stood up & said, "Hey, let's lop this stretch of skin off our cranks & make it a social standard!"

So far, the only bizarre comments that I have seen, have been made by the men who are "protecting their penis". I haven't seen any show of violence though, pity that.

I think parents who give permission (which they shouldn't even have in the first place), to allow a perfectly normal and healthy part of a baby's body to be hacked off, are ignorant and incapable of rational thought. It's basically a mental problem that only effects western society and certain 3rd world countries. They've simply been conditioned to believe that's it's ok to do it, and use twisted logic to reinforce what they believe. They're probably not able to think for themselves and about what's best for their baby. Of course, they're not aware of that fact, because they've been raised to believe that it's normal.

The people who perform or otherwise assist in circumcision are even worse. and most likely, it's done by a doctor that was conditioned to believe it's ok, because he himself was circumcised as a baby.

Nothing can justify it.

What if it became common practice to cut off a girl's nipples, because it prevented cancer? Sure, most people think it's ludicrous now, but just wait until it becomes normal.

You clearly need to improve your medical knowledge, so here is the whole page the above is taken from.

No point in going over the hygene thing again, everything seems to be going over your head.

Unattractive... thats a matter of opinion, I've known very few who find it unattractive, and considering he's your son your opinion hardly matters, whether his cock looks good to you or not certainly shouldn't affect you in any way.

i've already stated my reasons and beliefs

and smegma is sluffed off skin cells mixed with the body's natural oils...it's the stuff that gets stuck in body crevices and stinks

i don't know any boys ages 5-12 who think about hygeine...in fact, it's not easy to get them to bathe....and i'm not going to be chasing down my 5-10 year old boy to make sure his dick is clean

and i don't know of any men who suffer from chapped dick...and given the population of circumcised men in the US...if dick chafing due to circumcision was a problem, there would be a product on the market for it

as his mother, his appearance is very important to me, and as we live in a country where the majority of males are circumcised, i'm not going to be subjecting my son to needless adolescent ostracism or teasing

it's my child, my decision

i don't care what your opinion is on the matter

if you want an uncircumcised son, great...i don't care what you do with your son's dick regarding circumcision and can't quite understand why you are so concerned with what my SO and i do with our son's

You're right. I agree with you.

Another pretty stupid hyperbole is that circ involves the removal of just 1/8" of essentially nerve-free skin. I wonder what genius came up with that one. Do you recall? Was it breakdance? breakfast? brakepad? breakyheart? I forget. Maybe you could jog my memory.

Yeah, nipple removal is a pretty bad analogy, because nipples have a real function and removal would render breasts inoperable. But how about trimming back floppy labia to achieve that much vaunted porn-star look? Surely we could do that.

Lighten up Francis.

You know, I hate to break this to you, but your penis wouldn't be any longer if they left that little bit on.

For every link against circumcision (god I hate typing that word), there's a link for it. The risks of not having seem slightly higher than the risks of having it, but in the end it boils down to personal choice. And as the baby obviously can't make that choice, it's up to the parents to do so for him.

I find foreskins repulsive, and so to me, that and all the data supporting the procedure would make me choose to have my son done if I was to have one. People that have no issues with foreskins will take a different view on things.

You're not going to change anybody's mind on it - instead all you boys, shouting over the fact that your parents made a decision about your Mr. Happy without consulting you first, sound like a bunch of hysterical women. Get over it - or grow it back if you need it that bad.

exactly...i didn't want to say hysterical woman, but that's exactly what i keep thinking

No, actually males have to deal with a shorter lifespan, baldness, facial shaving, and circ.

I think that baldness alone justifies labial trimming, as a counterbalance. And if not baldness, then the increased risk of heart disease.

Seriously, your logic is so stunningly stupid I find it difficult to comprehend how you can remember to breathe, let alone function in society...let's see what it boils down to Male circ is justified but female labial trimming isn't, because women have periods.

Satire fails me. I can't even begin to mock the absurdity of this. Good lord woman, were you educated by watching Oprah, or was it Socratic dialogues in Roxy's Beauty Salon? Your mistake isn't circing your kid; it is breeding in the first place.

you really are very retarded and obviously don't understand a joke or sarcasm

and listen to yourself...you''re getting very worked up over what choices i make over my son....do you always overstep boundaries like this or are you just a total control freak....or a pussy with penis issues?

you are a total fucking freak

Hey, females get smegma too, in their nooks and crannies. I've seen it. And European boys seem to have no trouble washing (and lots of Europeans, particularly Nordics and Germans, have much better standard hygiene then Americans, BTW).

but I'm really not trying to change your mind...slice and dice all you want...I just want to demonstrate that your justifications and rationalizions are basically pretty stupid and irrational.

I was circumcised, it hasn't bothered me much. I can't really think of a use for my foreskin anyway...

wow, your ignorance and lack of disregard (love) for your son, is appalling. Let me guess.. you're not gonna make him take baths, and make sure he brushes his teeth and cleans behind his ears either.

Foreskin is nearly 15 square inches. God put it there for a reason. and not to be hacked off by some dumbass parent.

And your incessent need for attempting to make her feel guilty or bad, are stupid and irrational. She never asked for anyone's opinion on her choice to have her son circumcised, in the first place.
