First there was, "They should suffer the death penalty or something." Then came, "I think it's great. Whoever is doing it, they should do more of it." And now, “It is time to call out WikiLeaks for what it really is -- a non-state hostile intelligence service often abetted by state actors like Russia."

The continual flip-flopping of whether WikiLeaks is good or bad depends on whether the con artist is being helped. Now that his collusion with Russia paid off, the con artist is free to unleash his minions to denigrate the very institution which helped get him elected.

Of course now CIA director Pompeo sang a different tune during the campaign when he cited WikiLeaks as substantive in a tweet:

“Need further proof that the fix was in from President Obama on down? Busted, 19,252 e-mails from DNC leaked by WikiLeaks.”

When asked about his tweet during his confirmation, Pompeo feigned ignorance, claiming he didn't remember the tweet. Then, to cover his ass, went on, “I have some deep understanding of WikiLeaks, and I have never viewed it as a credible source of information for the United States or for anyone else.”

Good to know the CIA's leader can tell a lie just as well as the con artist.

Leaking is bad bad naughty when it hurts him, and immaterial when it helps him.

Wikileaks Trolls CIA director

WikiLeaks hit back at CIA Director Mike Pompeo on Thursday after he criticized the website.

Pompeo called WikiLeaks a "non-state hostile intelligence service" that had done "great harm to our nation’s national security."

The site hit back by posting one of Pompeo's now-deleted tweets from 2016 citing the group's work publishing leaked documents from the Democratic National Committee.

Mike Pompeo was crowing on the dungheap, back in 7/24/16 in a tweet. He was so very happy about the release of Hillary Clinton's emails. Backed up Emperor Carrot's claim that the election was fixed.Smeared President Obama with an accusation.

Julian Assange must be suffering from whiplash.

You're being misleading. This isn't the CIA flip-flopping on anything. They weren't part of the Trump campaign and Pompeo wasn't the CIA before Trump got elected. If you think the CIA had anything supportive to say about Russia in its involvement in the U.S. elections or WikiLeaks in leaking any U.S. material , please cite it.

Russia started the #syriahoax twitter feed, after Trump ordered a bombing, and killed some children, villagers, and an American soldier. That got the American Alt Right fired up. Right now, Russia is spreading disinformation connected with the Sarin poison story.

Putin has his fingers in so many subversive pies, I am surprised there is any unemployment in Moscow.

Just last week, I read about Brit soldiers protecting Estonia's border. Today, I read about Putins plan's for the Balkans. Tonight, there's some news about Poland.

Poland welcomes 'historic' NATO deployment near Kaliningrad

April 14, 2017

The NATO battalion is one of four to be deployed in Poland and the Baltic states, serving as "tripwires" on the eastern flank of the alliance. The Eastern European nations asked for support after Russia annexed Crimea in 2014.

Welcoming over 1,000 troops on Thursday, Polish President Duda said it was a "historic moment" for his country.

At this time of year, last year, Trump praised Putin and was very much in favor of Russia. Trump repeated negative statements about NATO.

Putin hates NATO. They directly interfere with Putin's plans.

Now, NATO is suddenly no longer considered obsolete ?

Putin is not posturing. He is continuing the same awful traditions, but with new twists.

Long ago, My Ogre Husband and I listened to Vladimir Posner's English language broadcasts on the shortwave radio, and we laughed. He was so over the top. I was very surprised when he began to be featured in America broadcasts.

There is nothing funny about Russia propaganda this year.

Hmmm... I wonder how long until using the internet will be a crime that gets you 25 to life...

2035?

The internet is not capitalism-friendly after all... nor government-friendly...

Randi Rhodes who has been spot on with everything Russian for a long time says she is hearing that arrests will be announced next week and that Giuliani wants to flip on Trump but Comey isn't interested.

Rachel Maddow speculated last night it seems like all these groups have come out this week all saying Well we saw it first because something is going to happen soon.

Something I thought of this morning. Since Putin can't release whatever blackmail he has on Trump, because that would show he's been lying all along, what he can do is have all the cracking tools the CIA/NSA/whomever uses released.

It's a not so subtle message which looks innocent to anyone who doesn't connect the dots.

Of course the Russians released all the Democrat e-mails they hacked through WikiLeaks. Be stupid to release from one of their own sites. Probably used 'independent' contract hackers too not their own people and computers.

Deniability!

WikiLeaks will publish anything about big governments and corporations. They don't care if the CIA or the SVR sent them the data.

It wasn't Russia. It was an Iran-North Korea joint operation.

Oh okk.. Well I suppose if the CIA admitted that, then we're good to go.

Yes, nowadays we all love the CIA and trust it implicitly. The CIA would never lie to us.

Julian Assange must be suffering from whiplash.

I doubt it. Assange is doing the work that journalists used to do, before the job description changed to "blowjobs in exchange for access." Assange provides a secure facility for leakers, and he doesn't get to choose who does the leaking. He knows that he can be expected to be either loved or hated depending on whose ox is getting gored.

Rachel Maddow is an asshole.

I will go with Wired over libertarian propaganda sites I think.

The propaganda is increasingly demented, from media representing all sides of the American political spectrum. Don't feel obliged to root for one flavor of delirium over the other. I recommend that you read this.

What makes you think that Assange doesn't pick and choose what he releases of what he has access to? Therein lies his difference with true independent journalism (as well, probably, as your naivete).
