I'm posting this for two reasons.

1: I do disagree with this. I am an atheist and would like to see a very strict interpretation of "no establishment" of religion, since the term separation of church and state is not in the constitution.

And 2: I've been vocal against Islam already on this board so I just want everybody who calls others who are things like "christo-fascist" that I am equally offended by all religious overreach.

They wonder why we don't say anything about Christianity. It's because it's a subject that's already dead. It's not even debated much.

Christians know that they won't convince atheists that we're baby killers and we can't convince them that a cell isn't a human life. Christians know that we don't want Creation taught in schools, and we know they do. Gay rights is already passed. So that's not really something to discuss.

So, now we've moved on to the religion that IS in debate, which is Islam. But Liberals think, "Oh gee Islam is okay because rich white guys aren't Muslim." Because that's what it's about for them. They don't care about anything else.

Well Christianity remains very much up for debate for me. I live in Oklahoma, which consistently attempts to circumvent the 1st amendment and literally wants to remove separation of church and state from our constitution.

I know, but I'm just talking about here on Lit. The Liberals just want a circle jerk anti-Trump party, and they wait for somebody say something about Islam and that's when they shit on Christianity.

I live in Savannah, Ga. I was raised in a Baptist church and was brainwashed as a 12yo that I was going to burn in hell for all eternity if I didn't get saved. And where did I get saved? I got saved during science class in a Bible school when the teachers stopped class to tell us how important it was for us to learn about Jesus.

I always like to bring this up because it's so ironic that Christians stopped science class, which was basically just an extension of Bible class (yes we had actual Bible class).

I still to this day fight with the concept of hell, and when Christians say that I'm angry, I tell them they're right. I'm very angry that they believe in an eternal North Korea and if you don't do the right thing, you'll burn in eternal hellfire forever. That's a pretty fucked up thing to teach CHILDREN.

Bah I'm going back to playing Baldur's Gate. =P

Same thing with the Baptists here too. They didnt stop our science class, just prefaced beforehand that nothing we were going to learn was true.

There was a moment as a child when my mother said, "NEVER CHALLENGE GOD, EVER." And then she gave a very odd, yet telling exception to the rule. She said, "In the Bible, it's says to challenge God only in tithing..."

WAIT A MINUTE... Did the church teach you that? That seems like something the church would teach you.

That was kind of the, "Hm this whole church thing seems kind of shady."

Then, later on when I became a teen with a job, I asked the question to some other random church member, "Do we tithe based on our gross income or our net income?" The answer was gross income. That is SHADY AF!
